In nine months there’ll be a new life on Coronation Street: but the identity of the baby’s parents may shock you (and the rest of Corrie)! Who is about to learn the news that they’re set to become a family? If a rumor making the rounds is true, none other than Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Nicola Rubenstein (Nicola Thorp)! I know, crazy right?
According to DigitalSpy, the two will have a one-time fling that results in a surprise pregnancy. Of course this will be astonishing news to Gary’s girlfriend Sarah (Tina O’Brien), and no doubt Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) will be left in a state of shock given his history with the Windass family.

Pat’s criminal and immoral past deeds are wide and well-known, and unfortunately the Windass’ have been on the receiving end of his evil ways. When the Windass’ fell on hard times, Pat took advantage of the situation and targeted Gary’s mother Anna (Debbie Rush). Among other things, the cad pressured the vulnerable lady into sleeping with him. Ew!
Now it appears that karma has come back to take a bite at Pat, as he and Anna look to be co-grand parenting in the near future. This isn’t the only day of reckoning to come his way though. Finding out that Nicola was in town, and indeed his daughter, was a major shock for Pat.
Good-hearted Nicola could not be any less like her absentee father, and she has no idea yet about the terrible things he’s done (including murder). How will Nicola and Gary react when they discover that they are set to have a baby together? First off, Gary must survive his risky mission in Ukraine and make it back to the cobbles alive!
And how will Pat react to the news that’s about to become family with Anna? She’s set to depart town next year, let’s hope evil Pat doesn’t have a malicious hand in it!
