Coronation Street Spoilers: Peter and Carla Spark New Romance – Heartbreak For Toyah?

Coronation Street fans know that it will only be a matter of time before sparks fly between Peter Barlow and Carla Connor. After all, there’s no doubting that Carla still has some leftover feelings for her ex even though Peter doesn’t want to admit to them.

According to actor Chris Gascoyne, he admits that there is definitely some unfinished business between him and Carla. They went through quite a lot together and now that Carla is back, there’s a strong possibility that they might end up just back where they belong – and that’s in each other’s arms.

Chris even told Britain’s Metro paper, “Peter’s trying to pretend she’s not. He’s saying, “All right? How you doing?” But how long he can keep that up for, I don’t know. ‘Poor Toyah! I’m guessing that at some point something will happen between Carla and Peter because I’m guessing that it’s what the viewers will want.’”

But things might not end up happily ever after, especially after he finds out that Billy Mayhew might have been involved in the death of his sister, Susan. Billy hinted that he might have been the person that killed Susan Barlow in a hit and run accident after he robbed a bank several years ago.

Chris added, “There’s a fight that Billy tries to stop and a pendant that was in his pocket goes into his artery. Peter thinks he must have been stabbed. There’s blood everywhere and Peter starts to stem the flow – he rings the police and the ambulance. Billy thinks at this point that he’s going to die, so he confesses to Peter about Susan all those years ago. Peter takes his hand off the wound and watches him to start to die, but then comes back to his senses and puts his hand back on again.”
