Will Gary Windass end up Pat Phelan’s next victim on Coronation Street? Mikey North, Gary’s portrayer, is spilling the beans on what sounds like an epic Round Two of their currently dormant feud. The first time around Pat (Connor McIntyre) blackmailed the Windass clan following a vicious attack by Gary. The enemies have been out of each other’s orbit more recently but that’s all about to change.
In the coming days the soapy drama will ratchet up when Gary cheats on his girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien). I know, that in itself is bad enough, but it’s who he cheats with that’s the real kicker. Gary choses none other than Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp) to cheat with. As in, Pat’s long-lost daughter. Uh oh Gary, your risky work in Ukraine was child’s play compared to the kind of danger that Pat can rain down on you!

So what’s the result of Gary’s interlude with Nicola? Would you believe that Nicola becomes pregnant after their one night stand? But all is not bliss between the two consenting adults. According to Mikey, the pair have some hard truths to confront.
Speaking to Inside Soap, the handsome redhead revealed a startling deet about the explosive plot point. “Nicola is going to get pregnant with Gary’s baby, but what we don’t know yet is whether she’s going to keep the baby,” he said. Then there’s the spectacular drama that’s sure to come once Pat discovers Gary’s involvement in Nicola’s life.
According to Mikey, after the big reveal it will be, “Gary against Phelan again, so there are going to be old battlegrounds revisited – there’s a lot of unfinished business there!” No doubt viewers would like to see Pat get a taste of his own nasty medicine. What kind of person keeps a helpless man hostage in a cellar for pity sake?

Will Gary be the one to put Pat in his place? Mikey hopes so, with one caveat: “As long as I don’t have to lose my job because of it!” Bring it on, Corrie!
