Coronation Street Spoilers: Double Wedding Disaster On The Cobbles

The Coronation Street bosses have decided that five episodes a week of the soap just isn’t enough and have decided to add a sixth! This means an extra half hour of drama every single week. To promote the new show times there is going to be a big event, a double wedding no less. But it will not be a fairy tale on the cobbles, in fact it’s set to be quite the disaster.

The couples who may or may not go down the aisle this week are Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) and Aidan (Shayne Ward). And Jonny (Richard Hawley) and Jenny (Sally Ann Mathews). But there is a whole lot in the way of both couples happily ever after.

Eva has been on the warpath since she learnt of Aidan’s affair, she has been plotting her revenge for months. But Aiden is going to throw a spanner in the works. He is going to confess to Eva! After all this time of hiding his dirty affair with Maria (Samia Ghadie) he is going to come clean before the wedding day.

Not only this, but Maria will storm into the church, romantic comedy style and scream that she does not want the pair to get married. What a disastrous day it is going to be, surely there is no chance of this marriage going through. But will Johnny Connor have more nuptial luck.

Jenny and Johnny have far less drama than the young couple but their plans will also come to a halt. Rita’s (Barbara Knox) memory loss is getting concerning and she will be taken to hospital this week because of the undiagnosed illness she has.

This means that Jenny will refuse to leave her adoptive mother to go down the aisle. She demands that the wedding be postponed so that she can stay in hospital with the ailing Rita.  Will either of these marriages happen this week?
