Coronation Street Spoilers: Corrie Wedding In The Works?

Serial husband Steven McDonald (Simon Gregson) is at it again on, “Coronation Street!” Who’s his lucky victim, erm, wife-to-be this time around?  Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) could be the Rovers Return landlord’s blushing bride number six!

According to The Mirror, future episodes will see the randy man propose to the eligible, lovely Corrie lady. Even though they are co-parents, she will reportedly be left shocked by his offer of wedded bliss. Should the perky blonde take her baby daddy seriously?

Poor Steven hasn’t exactly been lucky in the marriage department. The handsome man first walked down the aisle in 1995 when he married rich heiress Vicky Arden. He was so in love with Karen Phillips (Suranne Jones) that he married her twice! First in 2001 for love and then again in 2004. Sadly, neither marriage took, and both ended in divorce.

In 2009 lucky (or not!) Becky Granger (Katherine Kelly) became Steven’s wife number three; once again, the Corrie union was a bust. Perhaps their future was foretold at the wedding when they had to walk down the aisle twice because Becky was too drunk the first time around!

Steven tried his luck again in 2012 when he chose Tracy Barlow (now played by Kate Ford) to be his partner in holy matrimony. Sadly, the pair didn’t make it, even though they share a daughter together.

Hopeless romantic Steven most recently wed in 2015 when Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) agreed to be his wife. As Corrie viewers know, this union went kaput when Steven and Leanne were found to have had a torrid affair. They became parents to baby Oliver, and sadly Michelle lost their baby when she experienced a miscarriage. The ugly situation came to a head when Michelle demanded a divorce.

Should Leanne agree to be Steven’s next blushing bride? That’s a decision only she can make, but perhaps they should consider marriage counseling, a prenup, and plenty of soul-searching first!
