Coronation Street Spoilers: Big Changes At The Rovers – Tracey’s Takeover A Disaster Waiting To Happen?

Can it be true, a new owner of the Rovers?

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that Tracey Barlow has the cash required to buy the pub. She intends for Peter and Toyah to take over the Rovers. But how will this play out, a recovering alcoholic and his new love running the pub doesn’t sound ideal. Especially when the pair are dealing with IVF drama.

Before the drama of Ken being pushed down the stairs, the new couple were all set to take the pub off Liz. But with the trauma that occurred between the pair, they are in a much less stable relationship.

Peter is still furious that Toyah would go behind his back and go for treatment without even telling him, could they run a business harmoniously?

Peter’s past with violence and alcohol also may cause a blocker in this plan, how would he cope being surrounded day in and day out with booze. Selling it and watching people drink.

Would he be able to stay strong indefinitely or would one bad day send him over the edge? Peter is not exactly liked within the community; will this also hinder business? Liz and Steve are loved by almost everyone on the cobbles, it is going to be quite a shock to see anyone else behind the bar.

It is not yet definite that the pair will take on the role but it does seem that Tracey Barlow will play a part in the exchange. She has been kicked out of the pub more times than we can count, it will be quite a change of scenery if she was to take over. Would she try to modernise the local? Or even take out her revenge on those on the cobbles who have disliked her for years. The Rovers is the central point of the soap, with Tracey in charge things could change dramatically.
