Coronation Street Spoilers: Bethany’s Horror Continues – Nowhere To Turn, Neil Sidelines Police Report

On “Coronation Street,” Bethany’s horrific grooming drama gets even uglier when it’s revealed one of her abusers is a police officer. Poor Bethany is shocked to discover the awful truth when she goes to the police station to report the crimes against her.

The disturbing story has engrossed viewers witnessing the downward spiral of a 16-year-old girl being sickly manipulated by an older man. She thinks Nathan is her boyfriend when in reality he is deceiving her while pimping her out to other men.

Bethany will eventually find the strength to report the abuse, but she is shocked to find that one of the abusers is an officer of the law. In an appalling scene, the cruel policeman will intimidate Bethany by threatening to harm her family. He has the nerve to tell her that not even the police will keep her safe.

After the horrifying encounter the young and impressionable girl takes the man’s swords as gospel and fear takes her over. Needless to say, Bethany’s mental and emotional condition will deteriorate to the point that her decision-making process is seriously damaged, affecting her ability to get out of her alarming situation.

Show execs have been candid in saying that Bethany will enter a dark space and the story will get much worse before it turns around.

Nathan has Bethany believing that they are an item, when in fact he is using her just as he has used other girls in the past. Bethany has no idea of his past actions, nor why he is actually interested in her.

Spoilers reveal that Nathan will propose to Bethany, and she agrees to wear his ring. Bethany has no idea that Nathan is still involved in some way with his ex-girlfriend Mel Maguire, who viewers saw kissing the depraved monster.

Although viewers are dismayed at Bethany’s plight, they have recognized the importance of the unfolding plot. “This storyline has been written, paced and acted superbly but – partly because of those things – it’s almost unbearably grim,” tweeted one fan.
