Coronation Street Spoilers: Bethany Platt Returns With New Shocking Plan

Coronation Street spoilers indicate that Bethany Platt (played by actress Lucy Fallon) will be making her way back to the Cobbles soon, but things won’t be the same for her. Instead, teasers say that Bethany will continue to struggle to come to terms with her sex abuse ordeal, as she is headed towards another dark, twisted episode in her life.

Apparently, 16-year-old Bethany will turn to lap dancing as a way to regain a sense of control that she lost during her ordeal with her boyfriend and groomer Nathan Curtis. One insider close to the situation even told Britain’s The Sun, “Becoming a lap dancer is about having control over men for Bethany.”

The source added, “She feels she has power over the punters she’s dancing for because they are paying to watch her but can’t touch her. She pities them for wanting her and the fact she refuses to take all her clothes off helped her feel like she’s the one calling the shots.”

But that’s not all. Bethany plans on keeping her new job a secret for her friends and family members. She doesn’t want anyone to know what she’s doing, even though she is suspiciously leaving the house each and every night. Although fans know that it will only be a matter of time before the truth comes out.

Lucy Fallon has been enjoying some much-deserved time off from Coronation Street after Bethany’s sex abuse scandal wrapped up last month. Her character testified in court against Nathan and his accomplice. Bethany took some time off after the trial to travel to Milan. But now that she’s back, some of her close friends like Craig Tinkler are already worried about her.
