On the long running show Nick recently became a dad—although the child is not his biologically. The father of Leanne Battersby’s baby is none other than Steve McDonald. Leaving the meaty storyline, and his cast mates will not be easy for Price, but he has something much more precious waiting in the wings: his family.

In a recent interview on This Morning, Price divulged that spending more time with his family was the impetus behind his departure.
Price will be seen on the show for a few more months, but claimed that he has no idea how his character exits Corrie.
According to the handsome actor, he was asked by TPTB if he would like to know the details surrounding his alter-ego’s exit, but declined.
“I want them to decide,” he explained. “It’s their show, so I want whatever serves the show best.”
The talented actor further detailed that while filming the popular show, he was only able to see his family once a week. The actor shared that while his overall experience on Corrie had been amazing, it was time to move on.
Price’s residence is 200 miles from the studio, making a daily commute impossible. Price spent time with his loved ones only on Saturdays, a high price to pay for any family man.

Soon however, the devoted dad will be able to do all the little things that bring a family closer together.
“I’ll be making paper mache, talking to my kids, taking them to school,” he said. “I’ll leave one family and gain my real one back.”
