Coronation Streeet Spoilers: Chesney Disappears, Puts Hope And Ruby In Danger

Coronation Street spoilers tease that emotionally fragile Chesney (Sam Aston) disappears after taking a bus ride, the only problem is that he abandons Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) and Ruby Dobbs (Macy Alabi) in the process. Is this the last we’ve seen of the loveable ginger?

Poor Chesney has not been the same since he was brutally stabbed at the Bistro. Can you blame him? He is suffering from severe anxiety, and his symptoms are getting worse, not better.

But Chesney isn’t sharing details of his condition with his loved ones, so when his well-meaning girlfriend Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) and sister Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) come round to check on him, they have no idea of the extent of his difficulties. All they know is that Chesney has been keeping himself housebound.

The two women think they are helping Chesney when they encourage him to leave the house, but little do they know the consequences that will occur as a result of their intervention!

Later Chesney says that he will take Ruby and Hope to town, hoping this will get Sinead and Fiz off his back. The ladies are mollified, but will they live to regret their decision to leave Chesney alone with the girls?

Unfortunately, all does not go as planned. The trio get on a bus, but shortly thereafter Chesney begins to feel uncomfortable. He desperately tries to control his fright at being outside amongst the masses, to no avail.

Eventually Chesney’s tension escalates to the point where he acts out wildly, banging on the doors and demanding to be let out. The driver responds to Chesney’s panic attack by letting him out, not understanding the greater dilemma it will cause.

Thankfully the girls are left unscathed by the debacle, but the same cannot be said for Chesney. Despite a concerted effort to locate the suffering man, Chesney is nowhere to be found. Has he left the cobbles for good?
