Chrissy Metz Opens Up About First Romance Scene on This is Us

Chrissy Metz is finally doing something she’s long wanted to do on the small screen, and that’s have her very own romance scene. In one teaser photo Chrissy, who plays Kate Pearson on the show, can be seen on top of her fiancé Toby (played by actor Chris Sullivan). The two look like they are getting very up close and personal with one another in what is surely a very intimate scene.

Chrissy recently opened up about her character’s romance scene and how she knew her critics would have something to say about it. She even told People Magazine, “I want it on screen — I guess it’ll offend people, still. But fat people do have sex, for the record.”

Clearly, Chrissy is willing to do things that other plus-sized actors haven’t done in front of the cameras before. Spoilers also indicate that Kate might kickstart her singing career this season and better yet, walk down the aisle with her fiancé Toby. But knowing how things can never be a little too perfect for the Pearson family, there’s a good chance that Kate’s plans might not all fall into place.
