Arianne Zucker Explains Decision to Leave Days of Our Lives

Arianne Zucker is opening up about her decision to leave ‘Days of Our Lives.’ The actress uploaded a short video explaining why she’s leaving on her official website.

Many long-time fans and viewers know that Arianne Zucker has been thinking about leaving the show for several years now. That’s mostly because of her frustration with the writers and not having a full-blown storyline of her own.

Arianne explained her decision to leave the show by writing in a blog post on her official website, “After 18 years of an incredible run as Nicole Walker on ‘Days of our Lives’, I will not be returning this contract year. I have had such beautiful support from all of you who have loved to hate Nicole and then love her again. Nicole has been through a life not fully rewarded by some of your standards, but I have also been able to connect with you on personal levels. Although nothing is ever permanent and I never like to say never, it is bye for now. I will see you all in other places as other characters and I am excited for my journey.”

She also told Soaps.com in an interview even her fans have been upset over how her character “has been written and pushed aside and slapped around, you try not to take things personally, but it’s hard not to. Behind closed doors, you go, ‘Come on, guys, give me a story’.”

So far no one knows how Nicole’s storyline will end.
