‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victoria’s Christmas Season Isn’t Bright – Too Many Mistakes Were Made

'The Young and the Restless': Victoria's Christmas Season Isn't Bright – Too Many Mistakes Were MadeVickie (Amelia Heinle) has often blamed men for her problems on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But now she’s beginning to realize that responsibility also lies under her tiara. Yes, the princess of Newmanville isn’t pointing as many fingers this time as Christmas approaches because she knows who shares in the blame.

Billy (Jason Thompson) wasn’t the fall guy this fall. No, the male who wronged Vickie was Travis (Michael Roark). Yet, a smidgen of self-reflection actually tags Victoria as the main suspect in her most recent downfall.

It wasn’t a crime for Vickie to be attracted to Travis. She found him to be visually appealing and his personality appeared to project anti-Billy. Rebounding from Mr. Abbott fully? No, that wasn’t the case. But clearly the aura of Miss Newman’s most recent ex-boyfriend was synced to Mr. Crawford’s light-hearted, seemingly balanced personality.

Vickie went round and round with Billy so many times in the past. That dysfunctional relationship finally ended when Vickie seemed to break from her past earlier this year. Time revealed that Travis was a cheater, which was a far brighter flashpoint than the revealing of relationship information he withheld about his New York past.

Pursuing a meaningful relationship with someone wasn’t a mistake, but Vickie should not have allowed Travis to move into her home before they were married. She made that choice without fully knowing the man who she had a crush on. Yes, it wasn’t fully love. Leaping from her living arrangement to the acceptance of Travis’ marriage proposal was also impulsive, even though Vickie temporarily delayed her response.

Roark exited the cast on apparently good terms, so Travis could return some day. But the ‘Tricky’ arc is over for now and if she’s honest Vickie knows that she shares the blame with a man whose relationship experience made him vulnerable to inconsistent behavior.

There won’t be a Christmastime wedding as planned and that’s a shame. If Vickie had only slowed Travis’ roll this duo might have earned a legitimate super couple tag.
