‘The Young and The Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Admits He Was Teaching Adam A Lesson, But No Details

'The Young and The Restless' Spoilers: Victor Admits He Was Teaching Adam A Lesson, But No Details Victor’s (Eric Braeden) admissions were a bit surprising. But, a breakdown of his words reveals that no specific details were offered to Chelsea, or to Adam, on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Yes, Victor admitted to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and then to Adam (Justin Hartley) within the same episode that he wanted to teach his son a lesson. However, neither party gained further information as to what Victor actually meant.

Chelsea confronted Victor just prior to his release from Genoa City Memorial Hospital. Before Paul (Doug Davidson) and his officers unlocked the handcuff that bound him to his bed, Victor talked Chelsea down from stabbing him with a scalpel she lifted from a medical supply cart in the hallway. Her actions were out of character, but were driven by the hopeless legal dilemma that her husband was forced into.

Victor did acknowledge during their tense verbal exchange that Adam needed to be taught a lesson, but wouldn’t reveal what he’d done when pressed. Chelsea slipped the scalpel into her pocket when Paul entered Victor’s room and then left moments later. After turning down a corridor, Chelsea revealed to the audience of ‘The Young and the Restless’ that she had been using a smartphone to record her version of an interrogation. Of course, no useful digital evidence seemed to have been gained.

Adam was previously advised by his wife to accept a deal Victor proposed, whereby he would return to work at Newman Enterprises. That agreement was supposed to result in Victor ensuring that Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) missing diary pages magically appeared, which would probably be enough to prove that Adam didn’t poison Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman). The word probably was used in the last sentence because any deal reached with Victor is often based on a hedged bet, whereby the ‘Black Knight’ (Jack’s, Peter Bergman, moniker for Victor) often retains the upper hand.

After Victor was released from the hospital and taken back to Walworth, he happened to pass by the cell Adam was put into earlier in the day. Apparently the contractor Billy (Jason Thompson) hired to revamp the Chancellor mansion used leftovers from painting he completed at the prison. Yes, the bluish-gray hue seen within Walworth reminded viewers of Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper) revised interior on ‘The Young and the Restless’ .

Setting snarky set jokes aside, Adam, like his wife before him, got Victor to partially admit to the frame. Victor told Adam that he wanted to teach him a lesson. Adam guessed that something went wrong, or whoever Victor was working with changed course. His father wouldn’t divulge what happened, or who his accomplice was. And that’s vintage Victor.
