‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday May 17: Nick Reads Sage’s Diary, Sharon Freaks At Mariah – Max Sent To Psych Facility – Victoria Plays Hardball

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, May 17, tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will mull over their troubles. At Newman Enterprises, Nick apologizes for snapping at Victoria. He’s upset about his dreams for the future being dashed. Focusing on work helps a little. Victoria agrees that it helps her, too. She uses work to distract herself from Billy (Jason Thompson).

Nick urges Victoria to be careful with how she chooses to cope. Victoria assures Nick that she will. They confirm that they’ll keep an eye on each other. Michael (Christian LeBlanc) arrives as Nick departs. Victoria wants Michael to serve as an emissary for an important Newman and Abbott matter. She asks Michael to speak for her. Victoria doesn’t want any blurred lines. Billy needs to respect the boundaries they’ve set.

Victoria wants Michael to talk to Billy about not stopping by each other’s places unexpectedly. Michael wonders if there’s still a chance they might get back together. Victoria insists there isn’t. At the athletic club, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) tries to chat with Jack (Peter Bergman) about business. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) wants to know what’s up, so Hilary gives them both updates.

They have a conversation about the foundation and Phyllis gives valuable input. Afterwards, Hilary and Jack go off by themselves to discuss it further. Phyllis spots Billy at the bar and heads over. Billy mentions their hot sex and Phyllis says it’s never happening again. Billy accepts Phyllis’ choice.

Michael shows up and passes along Victoria’s wishes. Billy guesses Victoria wants to make sure he won’t interrupt her. He figures Victoria has another man in her life. Phyllis catches up with Hilary and realizes Jack has been blabbing about their marriage. She insists that Hilary needs to stay tight-lipped. Phyllis finds Jack and scolds him, but he offers reassurance.

Elsewhere, Stitch (Sean Carrigan) is grateful for Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) support. He has to meet with a social worker about Max (Jared Breeze) and he wants Abby to go with him. They head to the hospital and Paul (Doug Davidson) joins the meeting.

Max’s doctors believe he needs to be sent to a long-term psychiatric facility. Stitch is upset by the news. He’s not sure how he’s going to tell Max. Dylan (Steve Burton) comes later and hears the plan. Abby asks Dylan to be a friend to Stitch in the midst of this mess.

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Stitch will share some tense moments with Max. In another area, Stitch tries to explain why Max has to go away for a while. Max gets angry and shouts that his real mom wouldn’t send him off like this. He says Stitch just wants him gone so he can be with Abby alone. Stitch gently reminds Max that he hasn’t really worked through his grief over his mom’s death.

Max tears up a little and Stitch vows to always be there for him. Just before Max leaves with a social worker, he tells Abby she can come when Stitch visits. Nearby, Paul tells Dylan that this must be tough for Stitch. It’s hard to find out who your child really is.

At Sharon’s (Sharon Case) house, Nick stops by and announces that he’s moving out of his apartment. There’s no point in staying there without Sage (Kelly Sullivan). Nick is headed back to the tack house. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) offers to help sort through some of Sage’s belongings. She ends up bringing a box over for Nick to look through. Nick is surprised to see Sage kept a journal. He starts reading and looks intrigued.

When Nick spots an entry on Christian’s death, he wants to be alone. Nick heads off and Sharon immediately lashes out at Mariah for finding the journal. Mariah feels like Sharon’s reaction is odd. She asks what Sharon thinks is written in the diary.

At Hank’s bar, Victoria walks in and tells Travis (Michael Roark) that they have to end this. They can’t be together. Travis wants a chance to talk through it, but Victoria won’t budge. She leaves and Luca’s (Miles Gaston Villanueva) investigator appears. He talks to Travis and sends a text about what he’s learned.

It sounds like major drama is ahead. Y&R rumors hint that Luca has something sneaky in store. Victoria may never see it coming. Stick with the CBS soap to see where all of this leads.
