“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, January 26, tease that Adam (Justin Hartley) will give Victor (Eric Braeden), Jack (Peter Bergman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) updates on his ordeal. At Top of the Tower, they all mull over the fact that Adam’s kidnapper was a woman and speculate that she may be in Genoa City. Elsewhere, Paul (Doug Davidson) and Dylan (Steve Burton) grill the captor about who he was working for.
The man insists he was paid in cash and was only contacted by phone. He tells Dylan and Paul where they can find a burner phone he was using. Meanwhile, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) tells Natalie (Mara McCaffray) that she was the investor that came on board when Kevin (Greg Rikaart) started dragging his feet. Natalie mentions Adam’s kidnapping, but Phyllis claims it was just about business.
Phyllis cuts to the chase and wants Natalie’s help. She tells Natalie to take Victor’s money and hand over a fake program. Phyllis urges Natalie to give her the real one and she’ll just say she had another team that developed it. Natalie isn’t sure about going up against Victor and she wonders why Phyllis is doing it. Phyllis talks about Billy (Jason Thompson) losing his chance and once again asks Natalie to work with her.
At Crimson Lights, Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) outlines the reasons why Sage (Kelly Sullivan) should be committed. Nick (Joshua Morrow) can’t believe she’d suggest it. Sage arrives and rips into Dr. Anderson. Nick tells Sage they should go somewhere to talk. Sage calls Nick a traitor and gives him a strong slap.
When Sage learns Dr. Anderson wanted to have her committed, she slaps her as well. Dr. Anderson calls the cops and states that she’s going to have Sage arrested. If Nick won’t put Sage on a 72-hour hold, then Dr. Anderson says she will. Sage asks how long Dr. Anderson has been trying to get Nick. The police arrive. Sage tells them to go ahead and make the arrest.
At the hospital, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) tells Billy that he needs to forget about his days of gambling. They should take the second chance they’ve been given. Jack appears and explains that a rival investor kidnapped Adam. Jack suggests that maybe it was a good thing Billy didn’t get in on this project. Billy brings up the fact that Phyllis said he should hold out hope.
At Sharon’s (Sharon Case) place, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) tries to convince her that Dylan will be fine. They discuss Dr. Anderson’s fears about Sage and Sully. Mariah is still suspicious of Dr. Anderson and feels she might be wrong about Sage. Sharon insists that she can’t take chances with her baby.
Mariah gets the news that something is going on at Top of the Tower. Sharon panics and thinks maybe it’s about Dylan. They head to the police station to find out more. Once they arrive, Kevin states that Dylan isn’t in danger. Paul comes in and explains the situation with the female kidnapper. Kevin says that this program has a real shot at working and the person that kidnapped Adam must know about its potential.
A short time later, Paul interrogates Sage about the ordeal with Dr. Anderson. Sharon and Dylan listen nearby. Sage gripes that Paul should ask Sharon. She’s Dr. Anderson’s number-one fan. Nick shows up and expresses concern about how Sage is unraveling. He opens up to Dylan and Sharon.
Paul informs Dylan that Sage will be released after her arraignment tomorrow. Dr. Anderson appears and tells Nick that they can help Sage, but they need to work as a team. Sage scowls as she watches them together.
Kevin and Mariah catch up with Natalie in her suite. Natalie tells Kevin that she wants him to remain her partner, but he can’t tell Victor. Mariah disapproves, but Kevin is on board. Later, Phyllis is mildly irked. She didn’t want Kevin involved. Natalie declares this is how it has to be, so Phyllis agrees. They shake hands on their new deal. Phyllis returns to Billy at the hospital. She says they’re back in the game and this time they’re going to win.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Chelsea and Adam will strengthen their bond. At the penthouse, they reaffirm their commitment to each other and make love. At Newman Enterprises, Victoria gets the details on Adam’s kidnapping, Natalie and the trade. She’s glad Billy didn’t get tangled up in such a bad deal.
Suddenly, Natalie arrives to put Phyllis’ plan into action. Y&R rumors hint that there could be some unexpected consequences if this goes too far. Stick with the CBS soap to see if they can really get away with their plot.
