‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, September 8: Adam Mystery Continues, Gloved Hand Has His Ring – Billy Refuses to Share Phyllis – Jack Supports Victor

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, September 8, tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) will have a few things he wants to get off his chest. At Adam’s (Justin Hartley) memorial, Victor says he’s to blame for his son’s death. Jack (Peter Bergman) interrupts by saying that Adam would offer Victor forgiveness. He says we can’t control those we love.

Jack once again tells Victor that he’s sorry for his loss. After Victor thanks Jack, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) takes her turn. She gets up and speaks mainly to Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). Chelsea talks about Adam making mistakes, but loving his family through it all. She promises Connor that they’ve be brave like his daddy.

After the memorial concludes, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) finds Victor for a moment alone. She asks what stopped his confession. Victor simply suggests that Chloe had better be telling the truth about her lack of involvement in the explosion. She’ll pay a steep price if she’s lying.

Jill (Jess Walton) speaks with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and learns that Travis (Michael Roarck) will be attending the business trip with her. Victoria points out that Billy (Jason Thompson) suggested it and Jill isn’t happy about the news. Meanwhile, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) gripes to Jack about Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). She wonders why Phyllis always goes against Jack, but continually supports Billy.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Billy won’t be too keen on Phyllis’ idea. After making love at the cabin, Phyllis suggests they’ll just have to live two separate lives. She can keep her public one with Jack and enjoy a special one with Billy in private. Billy doesn’t want to share. He thinks they need to confess so they can all move forward.

At Top of the Tower, Jill calls Billy and it goes to voicemail. She insists that Billy should be at the airport. Jack texts Phyllis in hopes of meeting up. Billy and Phyllis both ignore their messages, but later decide to head back to Genoa City. Jack wonders where Phyllis has been and she admits she was with Billy.

At home, Victoria seems a little down about the family. She knows Adam’s death has been especially rough on Chelsea, Connor and Victor. Travis tries to be there for Victoria. They confirm their business trip plans before sharing a steamy kiss.

Michael (Christian LeBlanc), Sharon (Sharon Case), Chloe and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) end up at Crimson Lights after the memorial. Kevin can’t figure out why Victor stopped his admission earlier. Chloe dashes off and Kevin grumbles about the walls she keeps putting up. At Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) roadside memorial, Chloe indicates that her promise has been fulfilled. Adam paid the price.

At Newman Enterprises, Victor leans on Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) for support and later mulls everything over by himself. He frowns as he gazes at Adam’s picture. Victor recalls his last conversation with his son. At the penthouse, Nick puts Connor to bed and offers Chelsea a hug. She looks at her wedding ring and remembers renewing her vows with Adam.

Elsewhere, someone wearing black gloves puts Adam’s ring inside a drawer. Y&R rumors hint that this storyline will bring some surprises. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on what’s in store.
