‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday May 23: Dylan Arrests Adam – Luca Faces Suspicions – Nikki Serves Divorce Papers – Travis and Victoria Clash

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, May 23, tease that Michael (Christian LeBlanc) will urge Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to delay filing for divorce. At the athletic club, Michael hands over the papers and thinks Nikki should give Victor (Eric Braeden) some time. He may not forgive Nikki if she divorces him.

Meanwhile, Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) and Summer (Hunter King) discuss the proposal they crafted for the energy executives. When Luca suggests Summer should take credit, she’s not sure she should. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) could fire her. Luca feels like Summer was within her rights. It’s her family’s company, too.

Summer notices Michael and Nikki talking. She heads over and tells Nikki she shouldn’t divorce Victor. Nikki claims this is just something she has to do for herself. At Newman Enterprises, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is daydreaming about Travis (Michael Roark) when an executive arrives. He’s pleased with the proposal and thinks it seemed like something Victor would’ve done.

Victoria makes a phone call to Summer, but Luca answers instead. She wants Summer in her office ASAP. Luca comes alone and Victoria says she knows he helped Summer write the proposal. She can tell what Luca is up to. Luca advises Victoria not to dismiss Summer. She’s a direct conduit to Victor. Luca urges Victoria to use that to her advantage.

In prison, Meredith (Alicia Coppola) finally backs away from Victor. He notes that he enjoyed the kiss. Talk turns to Victor’s family betraying him. Vic indicates that Adam (Justin Hartley) is the most troublesome one. Meredith thinks it’s good that Adam at least comes to visit. They discuss the kiss and decide to keep things professional.

Summer shows up and visits Victor. She gives him the news that Nikki is filing for divorce. Summer can’t understand why the whole family is so against Victor. Vic is grateful that Summer is loyal. Once Summer leaves, Nikki arrives. She says she loves Victor, but they can’t move forward if he won’t forgive her.

Victor shouts that it’s for the best. There’s nothing left between them. Afterwards, Victor returns to the infirmary to tell Meredith about the divorce. Nikki meets Summer in the park and says Victor didn’t care when she served the papers. She feels like she doesn’t even know Victor anymore.

At Travis’ place, he notices that Victoria left her phone. He gazes at a picture of Victoria with Billy (Jason Thompson) and their children. Victoria heads to Hank’s bar later and asks about the phone. Travis shows her the pic and says he doesn’t sleep with married women. Victoria barks that they’re divorced and she turns to leave. Travis snaps that Victoria is going back to her real life.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Dylan (Steve Burton) will drop by the penthouse to give Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) updates on the Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman) situation. Her body is currently being exhumed. Dylan asks if Adam wants to add to his statement.

Adam insists he’s innocent and he thinks Victor had the journal altered. Dylan says they’ll forget about the investigation if there aren’t any signs of foul play. Once Dylan leaves, Adam wonders how and when Victor could’ve done all of this. He’s miffed that Victor got Sage (Kelly Sullivan) tangled up in one of his messes.

Adam suspects someone who was hoping to prove himself helped Victor out. Chelsea agrees that it seems likely. They go to Newman and confront Luca. He denies knowing anything about the journal.

Michael and Dylan will discuss the possibility that someone helped Victor set Adam up. Dylan still thinks there’s a chance Adam really did it, but Michael hints that Victor is definitely out for revenge. Plus, it’s tough to believe Sage never said anything to anyone about this.

Dylan gets a call about the autopsy results and makes his way over to Newman. He promptly arrests Adam! Victor appears to be up to his old tricks. Y&R rumors hint that Adam will have a hard time getting out of this predicament. Stick with the CBS soap to see where this wild storyline is headed.
