“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, December 5, tease that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will rip into Hilary (Mishael Morgan) for the way Dylan’s (Steve Burton) interview was edited. At GC Buzz, Mariah claims Hilary twisted everything. Hilary feels like it works and points out that she’s the boss.
Their fight escalates and Mariah shoves Hilary as Devon (Bryton James) walks in. He sends Mariah away so he can chat with Hilary privately. Devon scolds Hilary for editing the footage and reminds her that they bought GC Buzz to change their old style.
Hilary thinks their audience can decide what they want to see. She preps for the show and leaves the edited interview in. Mariah grows concerned and tries to contact Dylan. Meanwhile, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) lashes out at Kevin (Greg Rikaart) for gathering things from her closet. He wonders if something in there points to Bella’s paternity.

Chloe suggests that’s ridiculous and blames it on her time at the psychiatric facility. She hints that she’s just weird about privacy now. Chloe goes into her closet alone and is relieved when a shoebox remains untouched. She puts it inside another box and heads off to Kevin’s place.
At the park, Mariah worries about the interview backfiring. She sees Kevin and asks if she can crash in her old room for the night. Chloe shows up and Mariah realizes she’s moving in. At the hospital, Dylan and Sharon (Sharon Case) rush in for news on Christian. They learn he’s wheezing and has a rash.
When Dylan asks if Christian ate strawberries, Nick (Joshua Morrow) gets angry. He can’t believe they didn’t tell him about Christian’s food allergy. Dylan didn’t know it was severe. Sharon thinks it was Nick’s responsibility to get all of the details. Instead, he just ripped the boy from his home.
Nick goes to see Christian while Sharon and Dylan wait outside the room. They beg to see the baby, but Stitch (Sean Carrigan) won’t budge. Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) finds her mom and admits she was scared. She tracks down Nick and urges him to let Sharon go in with Dylan. Nick finally agrees and they spend some emotional moments with Christian.

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers state that Hilary’s tactics will stir up trouble. At Sharon’s place, Dylan notices the interview is being shown on GC Buzz. He says Faith can watch it. When the edited piece airs, Hilary makes negative comments about Sharon’s mental illness. Sharon sends Faith up to her room to shield her from it.
Dylan apologizes to Sharon and assures her that Hilary altered the footage. Sharon understands, but thinks she may not be able to recover from what she did. She repeats her idea to divorce, but Dylan won’t go for it. He promises to stand by Sharon.
Nick also watches the interview at the hospital. He’s not happy that Dylan is speaking out. Nick maintains that he’s not going to share Christian. Back at GC Buzz headquarters, Hilary gloats over the public’s reaction. People are commenting on their hatred for Sharon and Hilary feels like it proves her point.
Devon suggests that people don’t know when they’re being manipulated. He orders Hilary to make a less scandalous episode next time. Hilary won’t cooperate, so Devon tells her she’s fired. Y&R rumors hint that Hilary will cause more drama soon. Stay tuned for updates on what’s in store.
