‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Mariah Stopped Hilary Cold – Devon and Neil Should Take Notes

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) did something that various characters on ‘The Young and the Restless’ couldn’t do. She stopped Hilary (Mishael Morgan) cold. All enablers should take note.

Lily (Christel Khalil) has guts, just like her great mom Dru (Victoria Rowell) did. Mrs. Ashby has had Hilary’s number since the beginning. She’s offered solid advice to her dad and brother on countless occasions, but they’ve often failed to remain resolute.

It seems hard to imagine Winters’ clan males falling all over themselves for Hilary. She’s pretty, but come on Devon (Bryton James) and Neil (Kristoff St. John)!

Hilary wiped the floor with said husbands on countless occasions. But her current hubby, Devon, is smitten and that’s the problem. Just consider what he’s done for his wife recently.

After Hilary believed she was entitled to a prominent position within the Abbott-Winters Foundation, Devon purchased GC Buzz. He did so in initial reaction to dirt the website was throwing at ‘Phack’, but then realized that buying the business would offer an outlet to channel Hilary’s so-called energies.

Within days of Mrs. Hamilton complaining about living in the plush suite at the Genoa City Athletic Club, which her husband owns, Devon purchased an entire building. ‘Hevon’ now resides in the often-used condominium that is conveniently located across the hall from Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), much to Y&R’s set builders delight.

Viewers are likely familiar with a self-centered family member, or a manipulative co-worker who has long been surrounded by weak enablers. A torrent of complaints shoots from all mouths whenever the self-appointed Queen or King isn’t around. But as soon as the manipulator enters the room everyone attempts to hide behind each other’s shadows.

Lily’s efforts have been followed by a fierce force whose name is Mariah, which sounds strong purely through enunciation, Hilary has been taught a lesson.

Control is the reason why Hilary always acts as she does. Puppeteers become masters through years of practice. But smart souls can turn tables and move Ann Turner’s strings as well.
