‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary Defying Devon – GC Buzz Promotes Gossip Again

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) rushed back from Rivercrest on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She pushed Mariah (Camryn Grimes) away from the camera and delivered the Newman Enterprises correction story that Devon (Bryton James) asked for. However, the tale Patty (Stacy Haiduk) told to Hilary earlier that day trumps (hey, this topical reference had to be used somewhere, right?) a somewhat boring blurb about corporate misdeeds.

Morgan’s character won’t concede anything to her husband. While she initially agreed to help transform GC Buzz into a more respected news outlet, her current efforts could allow the website to be restored to its former glory. Devon wants believes that his wife is working with him. Whether she leads him down a path of destruction will be an ongoing question as the fall folds into winter.

After seeing Mariah and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) conduct a heated discussion, Hilary took those tidbits of information and worked them into a meeting with Patty at Rivercrest. Poor Ms. Williams still believes that she’s going to be freed from her mandatory mental health stay in the near future. Her belief that Hilary was the attorney that Paul (Doug Davidson) sent to help her allowed potentially devastating information to be divulged. The Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) baby-swap scheme Patty described was outrageous and may continue to damage to many lives.

Hilary now holds the key to Sharon’s possible arrest. However, GC Buzz’ current gopher, Mariah, may also come under suspicion as her mother’s accomplice. While Victor (Eric Braeden) convinced Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that ‘Niktor’ shouldn’t pursue vengeance against Sharon, public awareness of her kid-restraining (not kidnapping) crime might prove to be overwhelming.

Journalists don’t have agendas, they pursue balance in the stories they cover. Balance can also mean that there are more than two sides to any issue. Public knowledge of the Christian debacle will surely raise ratings, but the owner of GC Buzz (Devon) must decide if he wants to allow his impulsive bride to continue pushing his business through the mud in order to make money.
