‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday January 22: Adam’s Kidnapper A Women – Victor Promises Chelsea to Save Adam – Natalie Fears Death

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, Jan 22, tease that Natalie (Mara McCaffray) will gripe at Victor (Eric Braeden) for his refusal to provide her laptop or let her reach out to Kevin (Greg Rikaart). In Victor’s office, Natalie complains until Paul (Doug Davidson) arrives. Paul says that the police are in charge now and they’re setting up the trade. It seems Natalie is going to be the bait.

Victor insists there’s going to be trouble if Adam (Justin Hartley) doesn’t get out of this unscathed. After Paul leaves, Victor lets his security man know that he’s not to listen to Paul or the cops. Victor is the only one who’ll be giving orders. Natalie tells Victor the kidnappers just sent an angry message.

Dylan (Steve Burton) stops by Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) penthouse and tells her about his new plan. Chelsea can’t believe Victor agreed to work with the police. Chelsea offers to pitch in on this. Since the exchange needs to go down in a public place, they can do it during Chelsea’s fashion show at Top of the Tower. Chelsea fears for Adam’s safety, but Dylan believes it will all work out.

At the police station, Dylan and Paul call Victor to pass along the fashion show news. Although Victor isn’t really on board with the idea, Paul thinks this is how it has to be. Later, Victor gives a message to Adam’s kidnappers. Natalie asks if Victor intends to deceive the cops. Victor flashes a sly smile.

Chelsea storms in and rants about the danger Victor has put Adam in. Natalie returns from the other room and Chelsea rips into her, too. Victor and Chelsea both ask Natalie for her help. Connor (Hunter and Ryder Gadbois) needs his dad. Natalie says she’ll assist them. When Chelsea and Victor speak privately, they don’t think they can trust Natalie.

At the athletic club, Kevin tells Jack (Peter Bergman) that he just gave Billy (Jason Thompson) updates on the lost deal. He points out that Billy understood, but he wasn’t happy. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) also mentions that Adam is being held hostage. Jack thinks it’s a good thing the police are involved.

At the hospital, Billy tells Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that he’s starting to remember more about the car that hit him. Talk turns to their future together. Billy laments the fact that he missed out on his deal thanks to Victor. Victoria offers encouragement and Billy mentions the kids. He can’t wait to hear Katie say “Dada” again. Victoria is surprised and wonders how Billy knows Katie said it.

Jack comes in with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy assures them he’s not upset about the deal. He’s focusing on his family. In a private moment, Phyllis questions Billy’s true feelings. She knows Billy must be furious with Victor. Billy admits that he thinks Victor is scum. Phyllis brings up karma and hints that it’s coming for Victor. A short time later, Phyllis dashes off and Billy wants Victoria to ask about his release.

Back at the police station, Kevin and Mariah pester Paul for details about the trade. He won’t give up much info. Dylan and Paul discuss the plan alone. Paul says they can’t afford to make a mistake. Victor is a wildcard, but they hope they can still pull this off. As they depart, Paul orders Kevin and Mariah to steer clear of Top of the Tower.

Natalie finally gets her laptop and sends Kevin a message. She states that she’s alive, but she’s worried how long she’ll stay that way. Kevin thinks Victor is just as dangerous as the kidnappers that want Natalie. Meanwhile, Victor promises Chelsea that Adam will make it home safe and sound.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Adam will question one of his captors about who’s paying him. He continues grilling him, but the man walks out. Adam’s still tied up, but he tries to shimmy his way over to a cell phone on a table. The captor returns and Adam wants him to call Chelsea. The man refuses and Adam gets agitated.

Later, Adam overhears his captor speaking on the phone. The man asks what the plan is and says, “Yes, ma’am. I’ll take care of it.” It sounds like more trouble is brewing. Y&R rumors hint that something will go very wrong during this trade. Stick with the CBS soap to see what happens next.
