‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Empty Thanksgiving Week Arrives – Sharon Has Alienated Everyone – No Where To Go!

Thanksgiving should be a joyful time on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But this year that’s not the case for Sharon (Sharon Case). She violated the trust of her loved ones after initially being the victim of a master manipulator.

Sharon was wronged by Dr. Sandra Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush). This cogent plot point should lead all reasonable debate about this extended storyline. Sandy held onto bitter rage regarding an accident that occurred at the Newman Ranch pool two decades ago. She targeted Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sage (Kelly Sullivan), orchestrated the abduction of their newly born son Christian (Jamie and Alister Tobias) and made them believe that he was dead. Then she literally handed that innocent child to Sharon, which started the Sully fantasy.

A handful of months later Sharon began to have flashbacks. Considering past mental health issues and her ongoing recovery at that time, it was understandable that she didn’t initially know how to handle what her mind was pushing forward. Sharon’s recollections seemed like something a vilified head writer and his staff would create within a soap opera. Yet, Case took what she was given and is skillfully guiding Sharon through said storyline. Kudos is offered to this consistently outstanding actor for pulling this off.

As for Mrs. McAvoy, she took a wrong turn down an amoral path. Sharon should have contemplated how, not if, to tell Dylan (Steve Burton), Nick and Sage what she remembered. Both couples could have gone to the genetic testing lab together and learned the truth.

Sharon would have been seen as courageous, thereby demonstrating emotional growth and likely earning the trust she’s been seeking for years. But she didn’t follow that path and now Dylan, Nick and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) have been alienated. Her adult children have been affected as well. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has borne the brunt of this entire mess, but Noah’s (Robert Adamson) belief in his mom has also been affected. So, Sharon won’t be celebrating as this national family day approaches in the United States of America.
