‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chloe Reconsiders Kevin As An Option

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) apparently wants to raise Bella (Cali May Kinder) alone on ‘The Young and the Restless’. However, Sharon’s (Sharon Case) attempt to push ‘Keriah’ into being made Chloe reconsider Kevin (Greg Rikaart) as an option. She was reminded of her ex-husband’s parenting skills and the good times they shared together.

Kevin had a talk with Mariah (Camryn Grimes) at Crimson Lights. Following through on a statement Sharon made to him recently inside the Newman cottage, he asked Mariah directly if she had feelings for him. She didn’t fully admit the truth, but said enough to let Kevin know that he’s more than a friend. While Mariah tried to play off the situation, ‘Keriah 2’ became an option on ‘The Young and the Restless’.

After that generally frank discussion, Chloe arrived with Bella and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) in tow. Mariah volunteered to buy the kids something sweet to eat and took them to the counter. Kevin then asked Chloe how she was feeling now that Adam (Justin Hartley) was likely to be released from prison.

Sharon scolded Mariah for giving Chloe an opportunity to bond with Kevin. Then, when Chloe walked over, Sharon strategically suggested that seeing Kevin must be hard for her because of the Delia (Sophie Pollono) memories that are stirred. Chloe’s response was revealing and potentially opened a renewed plot window on ‘The Young and the Restless’.

As Kevin played with the kids, approximately 10 feet from where the three ladies were standing, Chloe offered praise for her former spouse and partner in crime. She choose to mention his loyalty traits and the fun they had during their time together. While likeable, this couple encountered, or created, multiple arcs of trouble as loyal viewers recall.

To-date, Chloe has actually been encouraging Mariah to given Kevin another romantic chance. So, she hasn’t become a rival yet. But, because Grimes’ character doesn’t have too many relationship experiences, Mariah’s hesitancy has created a time gap. Combine that with current circumstances and ‘Khloe’ will have ongoing opportunities to reunite. Whether Chloe embraces old feelings, or wants to offer Kevin a fresh chance, remains to be seen.
