Over the last few weeks on “The Young and the Restless” we have seen Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) trying to prove who’s the better man for the job at Brash and Sassy.
Recently, Cane sustained a basketball injury and his wife Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil), along with others, were able to convince him to have the surgery he needed to repair his ACL. Lily is hoping that she can finally get her husband to spend some quality time with their family while he is recuperating, but she may end up getting fooled.
According to CBS Soaps In Depth magazine, “Cane is already torn between the demands of the business world and those of his family. Yet, when he’s hospitalized with a basketball injury this week, the exec may ignore his doctors advice to rest and recuperate, preparing instead to launch an all-out war against the person he views as his biggest threat. Billy!”
So it appears after Cane’s surgery it will be back to business as usual, but will Lily stand for it?
Cane feels like Billy is not capable of handling Brash and Sassy and if he takes to much time off the company will begin to go downhill and could lose ground to Jabot. With Victoria (Amelia Heinle) staying so busy with her new boy toy Travis Crawford (Michael Roark) he does not feel like he can count on her either. So he is going to feel like it’s up to him to keep the company afloat.
Y&R’s Cane Ashby wants to prove his worth to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) so he is not going to let surgery slow him down. So will Lily be able to make her husband cooperate with doctors orders? I guess we shall see. Stay tuned to CBS’s “The Young and the Restless” to see how this all plays out.
