‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday August 31: Sharon Urges Dylan to Back Off Adam – Kevin and Mariah Clash – Neil Gets Surprising News

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, August 31, tease that Neil (Kristoff St. John) will be at odds with his family. Lily (Christel Khalil) has really been on Neil’s case about reaching out to his mom, Lucinda (Nichelle Nichols). She’s been trying to get in touch with Neil for years, but he never responded to her letters.

Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Devon (Bryton James) are equally outraged by Neil’s behavior. They think Neil needs to put his grudge to rest. In fact, they already took the first step toward making that happen. Wednesday’s preview video shows Cane saying, “We did what you should’ve done a long time ago.” Lily confirms, “We went to see your mother.”

Neil won’t be happy about their visit, but there’s not much he can do about it. Everyone else is determined to do the right thing and let bygones be bygones. Neil won’t want any part of their attempts to make amends, but Lily will persist. She’ll urge Neil to at least hear his mom out. He’ll just regret it if he doesn’t.

Later this week, “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Neil will reluctantly stop by to see Lucinda. Y&R viewers can expect major tension. Neil will have a lot he wants to get off his chest. In the meantime, we can watch some strife between Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes).

Kevin will suggest that Adam (Justin Hartley) being off the grid is good news. That means Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Bella (Cali May Kinder) will be free to live their lives in Genoa City. Mariah will be perturbed by the idea of Chloe hanging around. She’s afraid that Kevin’s feelings are only going to lead to pain.

Of course, Mariah also wants Chloe out of the picture for selfish reasons. She’d love to reunite with Kevin, but Chloe is obviously a big hurdle at the moment. Nevertheless, Mariah will just have to get used to Chloe’s presence. It looks like she’s here to stay.

Elsewhere, “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will try to release their fears. They’ll enjoy cozying up to each other in the secluded cabin. Meanwhile, Sharon (Sharon Case) will tell Dylan (Steve Burton) that Nick (Joshua Morrow) is right. She’ll suggest that Dylan should just let Chelsea and Adam go.
