‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor’s Quid Pro Quo Was Reasonable – Jack’s Acceptance Makes Sense, GC Men Turning Over New Leaves?

'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Victor's Quid Pro Quo Was Reasonable – Jack's Acceptance Makes SenseAshley (Eileen Davidson) made a smart move on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Often serving as the voice of reason where both of her emotional brothers are concerned, she met with Victor (Eric Braeden) to discuss having the Newman-Winters Foundation New Year’s Eve Party at the Top of the Tower. Jack’s (Peter Bergman) later conciliation to the ‘Moustache’s’ stipulation represented another point of progress in Mr. Abbott’s regard.

Actually, Victor’s quid pro quo was reasonable in this instance. Regardless of whether he has a cascading secondary scheme running down his mind, asking Jack to not evict Brash and Sassy was fine. While Jack initially told Ashley no, he was later shown meeting with Victor at the establishment in question.

The image of Victor offering Jack a handshake deal surely created a reaction among viewers. Some surely believe that Jack shouldn’t trust his long-time nemesis. Others might think there’s some type of catch, possible including Newman somehow reacquiring it’s former beauty brand Brash and Sassy. However, it’s also possible that Victor has turned over a new leaf and was only trying to help Victoria as he said.

It’s not that Mr. Newman has suddenly become Mr. Nice Guy. But, Adam’s (Justin Hartley) death has surely affected his outlook on life. Victor meant it when he told Ashley that protecting his family is what’s most important to him.

Ashley is super smart and knows Victor as well as anyone, save for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). So, she might have an ulterior motive herself. What that could be might deserve further exploration within a future digital space.

As for Jack – He’s mostly moved on from Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Yes, she might be part of the Fenmore package, if Jabot moves to takeover that company. But for the moment, Jack has steadied himself on matters of the heart. Doing so has allowed him to make better business decisions, including this one for his nonprofit foundation’s New Year’s Eve benefit.
