'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Victor's Lawsuit Threat Stings – GC Buzz Stands With The First AmendmentThe freedom of the press was recently addressed on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Victor’s (Eric Braeden) threat to sue GC Buzz over leaked Newman Enterprises documents instantly caught ‘Hevon’s’ attention. But, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) believe that their actions are covered by First Amendment rights.




Now, a soap opera post isn’t the place to blabber about the initial addition to the United States Constitution. Schools are the locations where common sense dictates that students be taught that type information. So, that’s why Y&R viewers rightly click to their favorite site expecting to see delicious content about engaging characters, spoilers and storylines.

The illegal acquisition of information is a matter that should be addressed by law enforcement. Whether Christine (Lauralee Bell) will ask local, state or federal authorities for assistance in investigating this matter is the second question. The first would be whether she feels the issue deserves her attention at all. Of course, her husband Paul (Doug Davidson) is the chief of the Genoa City Police Department. For soapy reasons, he might become involved in this matter as well.

The content contained within so-called illegal information is another matter within this new storyline. With however financial documents were obtained from Newman Enterprises, GC Buzz believed that the numbers were newsworthy. With whatever happens, Victor’s company may be in trouble because contrasting public statements regarding the two divisions in question are already on the record. In the meantime, the ‘Moustache’ is having Natalie (Mara McCaffray) remove corroborating evidence from his corporate servers and hard drives.

Some viewers might shout that Victor (or Jack, Peter Bergman) should be put in prison for his actions, while others will pretend he did nothing wrong because they agree with his political personality. Ah, perception is reality even within fiction.

Some interested viewers will seek additional fodder by researching the fine points of political documents and the laws connected to them. But, all Y&R fans are interested in knowing what impact the financial statements Jack appeared to obtain illegally might have in this renewed Abbott-Newman battle. As for any concerns ‘Hevon’ may have, GC Buzz was simply the media vessel that was used. Therefore, it should stream on.
