‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Restoring His Life – Rogue Moustache Still Roams Genoa City

Victor (Eric Braeden) is back on top at ‘The Young and the Restless’. Earlier this year he appeared to be in a perilous situation. Behind bars, forced to deal with the evil Ian Ward (Ray Wise). Now, as fall arrived, his marriage to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is solid, relationships with his three remaining (known) children are relatively decent and he’s back at the helm at Newman.

Braeden’s character can hardly considered young. No, he’s very mature and as always, restless. So, the corporate behemoth’s current sound state of affairs is likely just a passing moment in time. However, as 2016 gets ready to yawn, the ‘Moustache’ is counting his blessings, while still dealing with the loss of his son.

Adam’s (formerly played by Justin Hartley) perceived death devastated Victor. But, because he genuinely tried to help him begin a new life with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) just before he was supposedly killed, a modicum of serenity was gained. Victor was glad to have bonded, as best as possible, with Adam before the cabin explosion apparently took his life. Victor is tightly holding onto that personal gain right now.

When it comes to business, Newman Enterprises was damaged by all of the scandals. Thus Victor’s recruitment of Travis (Michael Roark) makes sense. He needs to bolster his top corporate brain trust quickly. Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) newest beau has the credentials to fit in. Whether he will can’t yet be foretold.

Victor is destined to fight Jack (Peter Bergman) in coming months. Sparing with his foil is sure to be invigorating. Of course, he’ll pull a few over on Jackie-boy just for kicks and giggles.

However, no one, not even the great Victor Newman, can compartmentalize the volume of drama that was lived within the last few years. Yet, this strong soapy character soldiers on. Depending upon each viewer’s perception, this man is admirable, or he’s still the same rouge who’s been roaming the streets of Genoa City since 1980.
