Billy sees Jill (Jess Walton) walking over and he steps out of the room. Jill brings up a business meeting that she wants the team to attend in Seattle. Billy gripes about Jill’s matchmaking and she heads off. Billy returns to Phyllis and insists he’d rather spend time with her than go on this trip. Phyllis thinks heading to Seattle is for the best.
At Jabot, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) wonders about Jack’s (Peter Bergman) marriage. Jack suggests that everything is fine, but Ashley feels like something is up. She asks about Phyllis and Billy, but Jack claims that Billy isn’t influencing Phyllis anymore. He hopes that Phyllis will drop any ideas of revenge. Jack let his feud with Victor (Eric Braeden) go and he wants Phyllis to do the same.

Meanwhile, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) assures Victor of her innocence. She suggests that she wasn’t at the cabin, but Victor isn’t sure he believes her. Chloe says Adam (Justin Hartley) may have set off the explosion himself if it wasn’t Victor. She states that Adam could still be alive. Victor warns that Chloe will pay if he learns she was responsible for all of this.
At the police station, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) has trouble accepting that Adam is really gone. Her denial quickly turns to rage. Chelsea blames Victor and wants vengeance. Nick (Joshua Morrow) explains why he doesn’t think Victor arranged the explosion. Chelsea eventually agrees that Victor wasn’t behind it.
Nick speaks with Paul (Doug Davidson) and Dylan (Steve Burton) about how much pain Chelsea is dealing with. He wants them to let Chelsea go home to Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). After Nick’s speech, they ultimately tell Chelsea that she’s free to leave.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Jill will meet Travis (Michael Roark) and immediately plot to get him out of the picture. At Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) place, she wraps up some lovemaking with Travis. Jill shows up and finds Travis with his shirt unbuttoned. Jill shares her business trip news with Victoria. She wants Billy, Cane and Victoria to go together.
After Dylan texts Victoria, she heads out. Travis takes the opportunity to let Jill know where he stands. He realizes that Jill wants Victoria to reunite with Billy, but he argues that there’s another good option. Travis wants to bring happiness to Victoria and her children.
After Jill stomps off, Billy struts in. He overheard their conversation and doesn’t like the fact that Jill is continually meddling. Billy urges Travis to join Victoria on the business trip. He states that they can mix business with pleasure. Billy insists that he has other plans.
Elsewhere, Jill calls Cane and tells him that he can stay home. Victoria and Billy can take care of everything that needs to be done on their trip. Back at Jabot, Jack gets updates on Adam’s death. He shares the details with Ashley and Phyllis. They try to console Jack as he frets over Adam’s family.
Victoria arrives at the police station and hears about Adam’s fate. After she exits, Paul tells Dylan that a propane leak led to the explosion. He contends that Adam wasn’t murdered. Dylan can’t believe Paul really wants to close the case again.
At Newman Enterprises, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) stops by and fills Victor in on the DNA evidence. Victor tears up over his loss. Michael says Nick convinced Chelsea and the cops that Victor wasn’t at fault. Later, Victor recalls the last time he saw Adam. Victoria appears and gives her father a hug. Victor questions the choices he makes. He feels responsible for what happened to Adam.
At home, Chloe walks in and Chelsea tells her about Adam’s demise. They share a hug and Chloe vows to help Chelsea get through this ordeal. When Chloe asks about the investigation, Nick admits that there’s no proof of foul play. The case is closed for now.
Chelsea goes upstairs to see Connor. She cries as she informs her son that his daddy isn’t coming home. Nick and Chloe look somber as they listen on the baby monitor. Chloe may be in the clear for the time being, but Y&R rumors hint that this is far from over. Stick with the CBS soap to see if Chloe will get what she has coming.
