‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday August 16: Bethany Given Cash, Passport – BIlly Dismisses ‘Villy’ Reunion – Victoria Has No Luck with Travis

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, August 16, tease that Luca (Gaston Villanueva) will continue his conversation with Travis (Michael Roark). At home, Luca speaks with Travis online. Travis maintains that he’s not interested in getting mixed up in anything. Luca suggests that Victor (Eric Braeden) could kill Travis if he’s not careful. He urges Travis to keep sailing as far away as possible.

Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) pleads with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to help Summer (Hunter King). Victoria feels like Summer will back out of the wedding sooner or later. Nick disagrees and points out that Travis might be the only one who can change Summer’s mind.

Victoria finally relents and Nick lets her make the phone call in private. She contacts Travis and gives him updates on the problems they’re facing. Travis won’t agree to come back to Genoa City. Victoria keeps trying to make him understand what’s at stake, but Travis won’t budge. He eventually hangs up on Victoria.

At Newman Enterprises, Summer rants about Victor and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) trying to scheme against Luca. They claim they only want to protect Summer. Victor pipes up that he’s simply investigating the oil spill. He mentions his recent meeting with Luca. Summer says Luca didn’t give her that news.

Nick shows up and Summer accuses him of being in on the plan. She leaves in a huff and Nick suggests that his plot didn’t work out. Back at home, Summer confronts Luca about his meeting with Victor. Luca says Victor wanted to keep everything quiet. He adds that Victor is trying to frame him. Summer assures Luca that she wants a future with him.

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers indicate that a new mystery is brewing. At the athletic club, Bethany (Chrishell Stause) notices an envelope has been left for her. She opens it and finds a key. At the bus station, Bethany uses the key to get inside a locker. She pulls out a bag full of cash along with a passport.

At Billy’s (Jason Thompson) place, he comments on the mansion’s return to its former look. Jill’s (Jess Walton) changes certainly haven’t made Billy feel at home. Jill suggests that Billy can move out if he doesn’t feel welcome.
When Jill brings up a reunion with Victoria again, Billy wants her to drop the whole idea. He was happy with Victoria and their children, but he feels that phase of his life is over. Bethany arrives and Billy asks Jill to give them some privacy.

Jill exits and Billy wonders why Bethany is there. He points out that he’s not seeing Phyllis anymore. Billy asks if Bethany is looking for more money. An insulted Bethany stomps off. Billy ends up at the Brash and Sassy office later. Victoria tell Billy about Nick’s request and her conversation with Travis.

Billy offers his support, but Victoria is concerned about turning into Victor. She admits that part of her wishes she’d left town with Travis. However, Victoria wanted to hang around for Billy’s sake. Back at the club, Jill grills Phyllis about what Bethany is up to. Phyllis doesn’t think there’s a problem.

Bethany appears and speaks with Phyllis privately. Phyllis gripes about Bethany causing trouble. She says she reunited with Jack (Peter Bergman) and suggests that Bethany should be off spending the money she was given. After Phyllis leaves, Bethany takes a look at the receipts from the bar. She finds one that gives her a clue about who left the key and bus station package.

In Victor’s office, Bethany marches in and wonders why he wants her to leave town. Victor says he doesn’t know what she’s talking about, but Bethany wants answers. Y&R rumors hint that big drama is on the way. Stick with the CBS soap to see if Bethany will create some obstacles.
