‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday September 29: Nikki Suspicious of Victor – Nick and Chelsea Are Matchmaking Victims – Mariah Quits Job

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, September 29, tease that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will relay some concerns to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). At the penthouse, Chloe suggests that Sharon (Sharon Case) is trying to set Chelsea up with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Chelsea brushes off the notion. She insists friendship is as far as it goes.

Chelsea takes Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) dress over to Sharon’s and strikes up a conversation with Nick. Sharon seems pleased as she watches them. She takes Faith upstairs and Nick tells Chelsea that he could plan Connor’s (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) next party. Faith comes back down in her dress and gives Chelsea a hug for helping her out.

At Newman Enterprises, Victor (Eric Braeden) hears Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) party reminder and asks if Travis (Michael Roark) is coming. He indicates that he was impressed by Travis. Turning down Victor’s offer took guts. Vic hopes Travis will come around on the idea of working for him. Nikki seems suspicious of her husband’s motives. She wants Victor to behave at the celebration.

At the athletic club, Lily (Christel Khalil) gets updates on Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) new hosting gig. She gripes about Hilary using GC Buzz for destruction in the past. When Lily asks who Hilary will go after this time, Devon (Bryton James) intervenes. He insists that they’re in this together.

Travis shows up at Brash and Sassy with the kids. He hands them off to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) wonders if Billy (Jason Thompson) is really fine with it. Billy suggests that it’s Victoria’s decision. They’re divorced and she’s entitled to make her own choices.

Lily comes in and turns on the TV. They watch Hilary’s report on Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Cane is surprised that it wasn’t too cruel. Elsewhere, Dylan (Steve Burton) helps Mariah (Camryn Grimes) prepare for Faith’s party at Crimson Lights.

As they decorate, Mariah complains about Chloe’s conflicting paternity stories and her sudden turnaround about dating Kevin (Greg Rikaart). The guests arrive and Chloe pulls Victor aside. He wants Chloe to get lost. Dylan appears and brings up the restraining order. Victor hints that maybe they should just put their issues behind them.

Nearby, Nikki and Sharon watch their husbands shake hands. Talk turns to Sully and how much he’s grown. Nikki notes that he’s so big for his age. Sharon nervously agrees that it’s quite astounding. As Victor approaches Travis, Nikki listens to him mention his job offer.

Later, some silly pictures are taken and Victor brings in the cake. Everyone sings “Happy Birthday” and Faith looks at Nick before making a wish. The guests mingle again and Chelsea gives Nick an apology for trying to push him away. Nick understands that grieving can be a complex process.

When Mariah corners Chloe, she snaps that she can’t stand watching her best friend be used. Chloe gets that Mariah still has feelings for Kevin. She attempts to explain why she changed her mind about dating him. Chloe wants to get through this so they can get along at work. Mariah doesn’t see the need and promptly quits her job.

Meanwhile, Victor and Nikki announce their gifts for Faith. She’s getting shares in Newman Enterprises and a pony. Faith cries out in excitement over the latter and gives Victor a hug. Mariah helps clean up after the party ends. Kevin wonders if Mariah is leaving her job because she’s jealous.

Mariah gets fed up and urges Kevin to see that Chloe is a liar. When Kevin insists he can take care of himself, Mariah checks out of the situation. Kevin can’t say she didn’t warn him. Chloe and Kevin meet up to talk about what transpired. He promises Mariah is just a friend and brings up her paternity concerns.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers state that Victor will once again work on recruiting Travis. At the club, Victor points out that Jack is coming after Newman. He thinks this is a good opportunity for Travis to work for the best company around. Nikki walks over and surmises that she should welcome Travis to Newman. Victor flashes a big grin.

Back at Chelsea’s penthouse, Nick takes Connor upstairs. While they’re gone, Faith tells Chelsea that her birthday wish came true. Nick is happy again and she credits Chelsea. Before Nick leaves, he embraces Chelsea.

Dylan comes home and the phone rings. The person on the other end hangs up. Dylan wonders what’s going on. This has been happening frequently. Dylan will soon try to get to the bottom of this and Y&R rumors hint it could lead to bad news for Sharon. Stick with the CBS soap to see what’s in store.
