‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday August 18: Adam Hallucinates in Prison, Attacks a Guard – Billy and Phyllis Wonder If Victor Knows About Affair

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, August 18, tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) will uncover one last piece of crucial evidence. In Bethany’s (Chrishell Stause) hotel room, Dylan notices the light switch plate is loose. He takes it off the wall and finds the diary pages stashed in the hole. Dylan glances through them and doesn’t see anything about Adam (Justin Hartley).

Paul (Doug Davidson) is completely blown away. Dylan insists Adam deserves his freedom and Victor (Eric Braeden) needs to be sent back to prison. Paul says there’s no proof that Victor hired Bethany to set Adam up. All Dylan really cares about is getting Adam home to be with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois).

At the penthouse, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) listens to Chelsea gush about how much Connor loved his letter from Adam. It was his favorite birthday present. When Chloe hints that Connor might get something better, Chelsea takes it as a dig. Chloe says she just means the circumstances may improve.

Dylan arrives to give Chelsea updates on the journal entries he found. He says Adam should be coming home soon. Chelsea is grateful that Dylan supported Adam through this. After Dylan heads out, Chelsea quizzes Chloe about how she knew great news was on the way. Chloe suggests that Chelsea’s good karma was a sign of better days to come.

At the state pen, Adam refuses to eat and has several hallucinations. He imagines that the guard is Victor (Eric Braeden). Adam believes Victor is telling him Chelsea and Connor have moved to Paris. Later, the guard announces Chelsea’s arrival. Adam thinks Victor is telling him about Chelsea’s new man.

In reality, Chelsea just wants to fill Adam in on the new evidence. Unfortunately, Adam’s hallucinations become too strong. He assumes he’s beating up Victor, but he’s actually assaulting the guard. The alarm sounds and lights flash. Chelsea cries out for Adam from the visiting room.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Billy (Jason Thompson) will try to sort out their conflict. At the Brash and Sassy office, Billy is pleased with Cane’s marketing idea. He surmises that Lily (Christel Khalil) must have helped.

Billy complains about Jill’s (Jess Walton) continued meddling, but she brushes off his concerns. After Jill leaves, Cane and Billy agree that she wants them at odds. Billy isn’t happy that Jill keeps pushing for his reunion with Victoria (Amelia Heinle).

Meanwhile, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) catches Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) discussing her plot with Victor over the phone. Ashley states that Phyllis is playing a dangerous game and she has so much to lose. Phyllis doesn’t want Summer (Hunter King) to marry Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva), but Ashley thinks it’s best to back off and offer support after the heartache.

Later, Jill speaks with Phyllis alone. She warns that she could tell Jack (Peter Bergman) about the affair. Phyllis doesn’t seem to care. Her marriage is already crumbling. Jill doesn’t want Phyllis to throw her relationship away. Phyllis snaps that Jill just doesn’t want her with Billy. Jill suggests that Billy isn’t the key to Phyllis’ happiness.

At Newman Enterprises, Jack scolds Victor for teaming up with Phyllis. He warns Victor to stay away from his wife. Victor points out that they both want to get rid of Luca. He says he’s not surprised Phyllis looked elsewhere for support.

After Jack exits, Paul drops by to ask Victor some questions. He mentions the evidence against Bethany and accuses Victor of framing Adam. Victor says he only hired Bethany to seduce Billy. Paul promises to prove Victor is guilty.

Paul and Dylan meet up with Billy. They tell him about Bethany’s employer. Billy is shocked to hear that Bethany was working for Victor. He finds Phyllis and explains everything. Billy fears they may have a huge problem. Bethany could’ve shared all of their secrets. Victor could be in the loop on the affair.

Phyllis isn’t sure Victor knows anything. She feels like he would’ve jumped at the chance to spread the word. Billy wonders if Victor is waiting to make his move. He fears this could get ugly. Y&R rumors say that’s an understatement! Big trouble is definitely brewing.

At the athletic club, Jack notes that he’d like a visit from John’s spirit. Ashley walks over and sits down for a chat. Jack doesn’t know what to do. Phyllis isn’t happy and he can’t figure out how to fix their marriage. Ashley implies that Phyllis is the issue, not Jack.

Cane sees Jill and chastises her for scheming. Jill states that Victoria and Billy should be together. Cane considers his own reunion with Lily and agrees to aid Jill’s plot. Will Cane be able to move Jill’s plan along? Stick with the CBS soap to see where this leads.
