“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, April 7, tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) will get the wrong idea about Adam’s (Justin Hartley) meeting with Victor (Eric Braeden). At the hospital, Nick thinks Victor wants Adam to take over at Newman. Adam says that’s not true, but Nick doesn’t buy it.
In Victor’s room, he learns it’s time to head back to prison. Someone wheels Victor out and Nick shouts that he knows what’s going on. He vows to protect Victoria (Amelia Heinle) at the company. Once Nick is gone, Victor expresses his gratitude to Adam. He’s glad Adam didn’t spill the beans. Victor feels confident that he called the right guy.
Meanwhile, Dylan (Steve Burton) gives Victoria updates on the stabbing. He wishes he could help, but Victor is staying tight-lipped on his attacker. Victoria feels terrible about the role she played in putting her father in danger.
At the penthouse, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) worries about Sage (Kelly Sullivan) when she gets teary with Sully. She thinks maybe Sharon (Sharon Case) should hold him. Sharon insists it’s OK if Sully is providing comfort. Eventually, Sully starts to cry and Sharon takes him back.

Adam walks in and greets everyone. After Sharon and Sully take off, Sage opens up about the failed adoption. Adam pulls Sage into a warm embrace. Sage departs and Chelsea hints that the hug upset her. She seems unsettled by the thought of Adam consoling Sage.
The conversation shifts to Adam’s meeting with Victor. Chelsea wonders what Victor wanted. Adam states that Victor is worried he’ll be killed in prison. He admits Victor wants him to avenge his death. Chelsea thinks this is just a way of getting Adam back in a position of power. She feels like Victor wants Adam running the show until he gets out.
Chelsea gets fed up with going through this over and over. She basically tells Adam to do what he wants. Later, Anita (Catherine Bach) stops by and hears about Chelsea’s frustration with Adam. She wonders if Chelsea’s reaction was wise. Anita suggests that Chelsea should support Adam and urge him to take the throne. She adds that Chelsea could lose Adam if she doesn’t accept him for who he is.
At Newman Enterprises, Nick tells Victoria about the adoption falling through. He also explains his suspicions about Victor and Adam. Nick states that he’s going to come on board and help her fight them. Victoria thinks that’s great news. She’s sure they can handle whatever comes their way.

Nick leaves and Adam arrives a short time later. He reveals the true reason Victor called him. Adam warns Victoria that Victor may not survive his stint in prison. He also believes Victoria needs to be ruthless like Victor if she expects to stabilize the company. Victoria wonders if Adam wants to return to Newman, but he assures her he doesn’t. She questions Adam about his loyalty.
In prison, Victor encounters Ian (Ray Wise) and states that he doesn’t run from a threat. Ian insists he wasn’t to blame for the attack. He leans in and hints that he doesn’t really have that much power. Ian just pretends and things work out for him. Victor thinks Ian is lying and doesn’t want anything to do with him. Ian hopes they can work together, but Victor just laughs.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers indicate that Sharon and Dylan will have a heartfelt chat. At home, Sharon discusses the failed adoption and how Sage reacted when she held Sully. Sharon says she told Sage she could visit Sully anytime. She wants to help Sage heal and she’s concerned about Nick.
At Crimson Lights, Sage meets up with Nick and fills him in on how emotional she got with Sully. She’s glad Sharon is allowing her to spend time with the baby. Nick brings up the drama with Adam and gripes about how he’s taking Chelsea for granted.
Y&R rumors hint that trouble is indeed brewing for Adam and Chelsea’s relationship. Will they survive the crisis ahead? Stick with the CBS soap to see if their love will last or crumble.
