‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Summer’s Distress Offers Phyllis Temporary Billy Distraction – Affair Secret Will Be Revealed Soon

Billy (Jason Thompson) keeps harassing Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Of course, viewers who look at this pair from a different perspective would see Mr. Abbott simply pursuing a woman who’s been receptive to his overtures on repeated occasions. That’s why Summer’s (Hunter King) distress merely offered a temporary reprieve for Phyllis on Y&R.

True love, or restlessly impulsive? It’s hard to tell at this point in the plot’s history. A betting man, like Billy, would likely put his chips on ‘Red’ relenting. How that affects other people’s lives is another story.

While Billy still has protective feelings for Vickie (Amelia Heinle), he’s moved on in his heart. His mind, what there is of it, has been blocked by seemingly overwhelming urges to relentlessly pursue Phyllis. Jack’s (Peter Bergman) resultant feelings are being rationalized, as Billy blindly seeks the woman who he believes is his next great love and eventual wife on ‘The Young and the Restless’

Jack thankfully arrived at Summer’s visually appealing condominium just in time this week. He helped Summer talk Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) down and then called the Genoa City police after Mr. Santori confessed. Then, Jack placed numerous calls to Phyllis, who was occupied by Billy’s latest pressured pitch inside the Jabot building.

Phyllis didn’t lie to her husband about who caused her delayed response to on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Instead, she shifted focus to Summer’s situation, which provided cover. It’s obvious that Phyllis doesn’t like obfuscating, but that’s one of the consequences in her self-created dilemma.

At this point it seems that an inadvertent information spill is likely to cause Jack to learn about ‘Philly’s’ existence. Currently, Jill (Jess Walton) is protecting the information she accidentally learned about her son’s involvement with ‘Red’. But, Colin’s (Tristan Rogers) snooping might blow this dark secret wide open, which Billy and Phyllis would never want. So, regardless of the odds, the potential for ‘Philly’ to permanently form remains a realistic possibility.
