‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Stitch Makes A Difficult Decision, Will Surgery Save Max?

“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease Ben “Stitch” Rayburn will have to make a hard decision about his son, Max’s (Jared Breeze) health in the coming weeks. If that’s not bad enough, he’ll learn that his young boy’s behavior was not due to a psychotic break, rather his behavior was because of a major medical issue. Stitch begins to fear they waited too long to seek treatment, and his son could die.

Soap Opera Digest reveals that Stitch just learned that Max has a brain tumor, and it could be the cause of his sociopathic behavior. Stitch finds himself in the difficult spot of deciding whether to agree to surgery to remove the mass, and risk his life removing the “extremely large tumor.”

“It’s perilous. Anytime that you’re operating on a brain, there are always things that can go wrong. It could paralyze the child or worse, kill him. It’s a scary decision to make on your own, and some even more terrifying to decide to do to your child,” Stitch’s portrayer, Sean Carrigan said.

As Stitch agonized about the best course of action for his son’s health, Abby (Melissa Ordway) tries her best to support him. Abby feels more connected to Max now that she knows his behavior towards her wasn’t intentional, there was a medical explanation.

Stitch knows something has to be done because without the surgery Max’s behavior could put Abby’s life in danger again. After pondering about what to do for his son, Stitch finally made a decision. He hopes he made the right choice and hopes that Max will understand that he made the decision that benefited the whole family—including Abby.
