‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Should Victoria Postpone Wedding Instead of Canceling It – Does Travis Deserve Another Chance?

Hey, Travis (Michael Roark) was wrong on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But, Vickie (Amelia Heinle) isn’t perfect. In the spirit of the Christmas season, she should consider giving Mr. Crawford another chance to prove himself. Yes, postpone ‘Villy’s’ marriage plans indefinitely, instead of writing them off.

No one is saying that Travis can make umpteen grievous mistakes in the future and that they should all be forgiven. That would make Vickie a door mat and she’s not that. Instead, what’s being proposed is a compromise.

Michelle (Kelly Frye) threw herself at Travis when he was in a vulnerable position. Most males would likely agree that she’s quite outstanding. So, his acceptance of her offer isn’t forgivable, but understandable nonetheless.

Choosing to postpone ‘Villy’s’ impending nuptials would give both the intended bride and groom a chance to deal with their feelings. Later, they could actually talk openly as well. Travis has potential and if Vickie’s honest she’ll admit that she’s still only getting to know him. So it’s fair to recognize that more time is needed to decide whether marriage is an option, or not, instead of simply canceling all plans in a huff.

Love isn’t just about the good days, or only forgiving simple mistakes. Truly caring for another person means helping them to overcome problems, as long as the generous party hasn’t been purposely put in ongoing physical, or emotional peril. That hasn’t happened to-date.

Travis doesn’t seem like a vengeful person. He’s younger than Vickie and appears to only have had one other serious relationship in his life. Considering Michelle’s aggressive nature, her actions must also be incorporated into past and recent outcomes.

Let the holiday season pass. Spend some time apart. Reconvene on neutral ground, say at Chancellor Park sometime in January. Come prepared to hear the other person’s side and then decide if reconciliation can work. Also, continue to live apart. Hey Vickie, Travis isn’t owed a second chance. You owe one to yourself.
