‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sharon Still Holds An Ace – Sully Paternity Test Remains Unknown, For Now

Sharon (Sharon Case) has been in panic mode for awhile on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Yet, as the walls appear to close in on one of the show’s deepest divas, she still holds an ace within this evolving storyline. Sharon has the evidence that a DNA test was conducted on Sully, but Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Dylan (Steve Burton) don’t.

Purely as a memory refresher for Y&R fans who might not be fully up to speed: Sharon was never pregnant with Dylan’s child. Dr. Sandra Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) created that ruse as part of a revenge plot against her old boyfriend, Nick. She used a Genoa City Memorial Hospital nurse to kidnap Sage (Kelly Sullivan) and Nick’s prematurely born son Christian. Then, ‘Sick’ was was told that their baby died. Soap suds covered the fact that they never actually saw their deceased child’s body.

Christian was given to Sharon at Fairview’s Mental Health facility as her newly born baby boy. Patty (Stacy Haiduk) discovered what Sandy was doing, confronted her and was about to be drugged. But, she grabbed a letter opener and permanently silenced the bad doctor. Patty was then remanded to Stonevale for the perceived homicide.

‘Shylan’ took the boy they named Sully home. Sharon’s memory later cleared and she realized what had taken place. She confirmed Sully’s true identity (Christian) by using an unauthorized sample of Nick’s DNA. However, Sharon decided to withhold the truth from everyone until eventually sharing this incredible information with Mariah (Camryn Grimes).

So, Sharon will possess the ability to tell another lie when the reveal takes place. She can play the victim, as she’s done many times before, and claim that the news has stunned her into silence. Of course, Mariah would stay in the same accomplice position that she’s been in for months. And, mother and daughter can dually project emotional disruption when Nick takes Christian home. In so doing, they will protect themselves. Plus, the storyline can be extended to even greater lengths, unless Sharon’s actions are initially exposed.
