‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Sally Sussman Reveals BIG Plans For Y&R – No Adam Newman Recast – Change In Sully DNA Storyline, And MORE!

For all of you Young and Restless fans who have been dying to know when we would start seeing the writing of the shows done by Sally Sussman, well we have those details and more. It looks like good things are heading our way.

Sally Sussman’s first episode will air on December 7th and she says you can expect to see a difference right away. The very first episode will start with an Abbott family breakfast, which us viewers have not seen in quite a while. Sussman plans on getting back to the history of the show, from where it all started. So this is definitely great news.

The only downfall that comes with this news from Sussman’s interview with TV Insider was the fact that one of fans’ favorites will not be making a comeback on the show. When asked if Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) not being Christian’s father would be revealed soon, Sally replies, “I’m not playing it at all. Adam is off the show. And Justin Hartley will never be back. He’s too successful now.

Sussman went on to say that she does not see any point of recasting his character and sees no reason for Nick to learn the truth. That makes some fans very unhappy. So it looks like Nick will continue to raise Christian as his own.

On a brighter note, Sally Sussman was very unhappy with the fact that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) was killed off and the show and says it never should have happened. So there could be plans to bring him back and not as a ghost this time.So this is very exciting. She also plans to bring an unexpected soul mate story for Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). So Ashley will finally have a storyline worth watching. Are you happy about that?

Last but not least, Sally Sussman has big plans for the character of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). So hopefully this will help redeem her with fans. Fans are tired of seeing the repeat storylines with her and maybe that’s all about to change. So stay tuned to CBS’s “The Young and the Restless” to see how it all unfolds. Be sure to check out Sally Sussman’s first episode airing on December 7th.
