‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis And Billy Finally Break It Off, But Their Secret’s Not Safe With Colin

Colin (Tristan Rogers) has always been trouble on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Now, just after Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson) finally agreed to actually end this unseemly relationship, their secret has fallen into his twisted hands. Many lives will soon be wrecked as a result.

Can’t blame Victor (Eric Braeden) for this one. No, Jill (Jess Walton) is responsible for spilling the tawdry beans. After successfully pulling off a health scare stunt, which was intended to fool Billy, she foolishly told Colin that Phyllis and Billy were involved as a way to silence her husband’s incessant prodding.

Phyllis and Jack (Peter Bergman) were shown in a pleasant outdoor scene, filmed somewhere near the CBS television city-based location where Y&R’s California-based internals are recorded. New executive producer Mal Young’s influence has been seen since he took the reigns earlier this year. His use of genuine outdoor settings establish various moods, as evidenced through Tognoni’s and Bergman’s solid work.

Phyllis admitted to Jack that she hadn’t been honest with him about their marriage. Not talking into full reveal mode, Phyllis instead said that she still sees Marco (Peter Bergman) whenever she’s with Jack. Tognoni’s believable emotion surely elicited sympathy from faithful viewers who recalled how Victor’s malicious doppelganger scheme violated Phyllis’ privacy and nearly ended Jack’s life last year.

Jack remains loyal to his wife. So, he convinced Phyllis that together they would overcome any ongoing marital challenges. ‘Red’ accepted his offer, made a beeline to the Chancellor mansion and convinced Billy that ‘Philly’ was truly over. Surprisingly, he agreed and later shared his conclusion with Jill when she returned from Genoa City Memorial.

Colin had promised his wife that he wouldn’t go after Billy. With parsed words in mind, Mr. Atkinson propositioned Jack at the GC Athletic Club. Colin advised that he had information about the “divine” Phyllis in-hand and merely wanted $1 million to keep quiet. Jack blew him off, but would later speak with the principals about the matter. And, so the stage is now set for the full ‘Philly’ reveal.
