‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Patty Follows Plan – Scaredy Cat Sharon Shrieks

A terrific head fake played out on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Sharp writing sent many viewers in one direction, while Patty (Stacy Haiduk) was still within the walls of Stonevale. The entire ruse allowed Paul (Doug Davidson) to receive a direct message from his poor sister.

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) shouldn’t let ‘Scaredy Cat’ Sharon (Sharon Case) handle Halloween door duty. She shrieks at nearly anything and sees images in the woods where none exist. Sharon’s latest overreaction involved her assumption that someone, who she later believed was Patty, was hiding in the area outside the cottage.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) came to her rescue, for the umpteenth time in the past two-plus decades. Paul later joined in as well after he arrived. Both men confirmed that no one was lurking on the Newman grounds. Kevin (Greg Rikaart) did locate someone who he believed was a stalker, or Bigfoot. He actually knocked the creature out. But, Kevin quickly came to realize that the shadowy figure he conked was Nick!

As viewers recall, Sharon sent Mariah to Stonevale to respond to Patty’s blackmail demand. In exchange for her remaining silent, Sharon would help her to escape. But, Mariah told Patty that she needed to get herself transferred to a less restrictive facility first. In order to do that she was told to act crazy.

When Paul was at the cottage, following Sharon’s wild goose chase, he received a phone call. After flipping open his special cell cover case, the chief learned that Patty had escaped. However, upon arriving at the facility Paul was told that Patty simply had left her room and was found in the kitchen eating chocolate pudding.

Patty did orchestrate the entire episode so that she could directly relay a message to her brother. She asked Paulie to get her away from the bad people, who reminded her of the Fairview personnel. Patty proved, once again, that she’s lucid and sometimes, more steady than Sharon.
