‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nick Facing Single Parent Dilemma – Need For Chelsea Increases

'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Nick Facing Single Parent Dilemma – Need For Chelsea IncreasesNick (Joshua Morrow) is a good father on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But any middle-aged man with an active young daughter and a rediscovered son certainly would need help coping. Pair that last statement with Mr. Newman’s soapy reality and his need for Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) surely increases dramatically.

Chuck Pratt, Junior’s crew created the possibility of ‘Chick’ (Chelsea plus Nick) as a super couple. Whether Sally Sussman and her team opt to ride this writing rail is yet to be seen. Y&R’s newest head scribe could choose to push these characters together to an even greater degree, or turn in another direction.

Chelsea has been doing a fine job with Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) since his daddy went boom. Her parenting skills have been noted by Nick, as has her winning smile. No apologies are needed Y&R fans for the initial cheeky statement in this paragraph by the way. Everyone knows that Adam (formerly played by Justin Hartley) is likely waiting in purgatory to return to Genoa City someday.

So Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) won’t be visited anytime soon by Sharon (Sharon Case) or Dylan (Steve Burton) now that Nick won the hearing last week. He might not have considered it, but Nick could have benefited from the help that ‘Shylan’ would have openly offered. In lieu of that assistance he’s been going it alone.

When Summer (Hunter King) stopped by the Tack House she noticed that her dad’s house was uncharacteristically messy. Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) was goofing off, after having procrastinated with a book report in recent weeks. Clearly Nick will need more than a sitter to help him effectively raise these children moving forward.

As both singles are available, it’s reasonable and believable to try ‘Chick’ and see what develops. Each actor is up to the task and their characters appear to have the potential for decent chemistry. Potential exists for various arcs to play out. They’re good souls who seem to match.
