‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: New Girl Bethany Sets Her Sights On Billy – How Will Phyllis React?

‘The Young and The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott [Jason Thompson] may be getting the cold shoulder from Phyllis Abbot [Gina Tognoni] but new gal in town Bethany Bryant [Chrishell Stause] has her eye on the handsome troublemaker.

Although Billy scores a kiss in the park with Phyllis while he tries to woo her to choose him over Jack Abbott [Peter Bergman], Phyllis will soon make it clear to Billy that it’s Jack she wants to be with and will reconnect with her hubby.

A depressed Billy heads to the GCAC to knock back some booze and wallow in his romantic misery. That’s where Bethany finds him and takes the opportunity to remind Billy that they’ve actually met before. Remember when Billy owned the restaurant On the Boulevard?

That was after Restless Style and before his current trouble. Turns out that Bethany was a waitress there and worked for Billy and now she’s waiting tables at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Bethany chats up a distracted Billy and gets flirty.

She even goes so far as to tell her former boss that she had a crush on him back in the day. Bethany also tells him that she can see his focus is elsewhere but offers that she might be a fun distraction since she’s not looking for anything serious.

Billy tells Bethany about living all alone at the big Chancellor mansion and Bethany takes a leap of faith and asks for a tour of the place. Bethany had her eye on Billy before and sees this as her chance to finally get a crack at him, even if it’s not a legitimate date.

TVLine reported that Bethany is someone who “relishes the chance to push things to the limit and live dangerously as long as she’s not the one who gets burned.” That sounds like the perfect woman for Billy since he’s been cruising around on his motorcycle and living life on the edge lately.

In addition to her new Y&R gig as Bethany, Chrishell Stause was on All My Children, Mistresses, Days of Our Lives, and Youthful Daze. She’s also the real-life girlfriend of Adam Newman portrayer Justin Hartley and BFF of Chelsea Newman portrayer Melissa Claire Egan.

While Stause will be playing Bethany without a contract, for now, let’s hope this fun character sticks around. What do you think Y&R fans? Will Bethany be a distraction for Billy from his Phyllis woes? Or could these two really hit it off?
