‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Natalie’s Unusual Reappearance Part of Newman-Abbott War

It seemed like Natalie (Mara McCaffray) might have been written off on ‘The Young and the Restless’. After Kevin (Greg Rikaart) coldly dumped her, she simply disappeared. Savvy viewers did take note that no modest farewell scene was written. So, her unusual reappearance shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.

Natalie is working as Victor’s (Eric Braeden) secretary? Yes, after the ‘Moustache’ ousted the hacker months ago, Natalie was rehired. Of course, Victor’s motive was hidden. She’s hardly a replacement for his retired executive assistant. Instead, he’s using that position as a cover for Natalie’s true purpose.

Victor calculated that Jack (Peter Bergman) allowed Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to stay on at Jabot for reasons that went beyond mixed feelings of love. One of ‘Red’s’ specialties, besides betrayal, is computer dexterity. With whatever the CEO of Newman Enterprises knows about Phyllis’ current duties, he recalls that she helped Billy (played by Burgess Jenkins and Jason Thompson during that time period) work on the Paragon Project revival. Therefore, ‘Shady Jack’ (Victor’s assertion) would likely be using his proposed ex-wife for cyber attacks.

Kevin is sure to stop by Newman Towers when he learns that his ex-girlfriend has new job. Of course, he’ll be suspicious of the role she appears to be playing in Victor’s corporate sideshow. So, Natalie will need to make sure she says nothing to the man she recently was crushing on. Of course, Kevin’s rapid move away from someone who he shared a common professional interest with and who is highly appealing was unfortunate. But, he has unresolved emotions where Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is concerned and this is soap.

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) recently advised Travis (Michael Roark) that her father doesn’t trust anyone. So, Natalie surely knows that she’s only serving what could be a temporary purpose for her second-time employer. How deep he involves his puppet in his renewed battle with Jack is yet to be determined. As for Natalie, she’d better remain on high alert. If she doesn’t, Victor might set her up as a patsy, unless he already has.
