‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday March 28: Victor Gets Ruthless with His Witnesses – Nikki Sneaks a Drink – Phyllis Tries to Help Michael

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, March 28, tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) will cause chaos at the trial. In the courtroom, Victor starts blaming Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and shouting at everyone in sight. The judge finally has enough and sends the crowd outside.

Jack (Peter Bergman) argues with Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) about exposing Michael’s (Christian LeBlanc) scheme. Michael rants about Luca being a rat. Summer (Hunter King) isn’t sure what to make of all this. After Summer leaves, Michael snaps that no one can trust Luca. Luca feels certain that Michael will be disbarred.

Back in the courtroom, Victor settles down and wants to continue acting as his own attorney. In the meantime, Phyllis talks to Christine (Laralee Bell). She claims Michael was just trying to help her get justice. Christine mentions how Phyllis hasn’t been too concerned with justice when it comes to her own actions. Phyllis did some terrible things and got by with them.

At Top of the Tower, some of the Newmans gather for coffee. Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) seem downtrodden. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) thought this trial would teach Victor a lesson, but she guesses she was delusional. Nick (Joshua Morrow) points out that Victor is the way he is. He’s never going to change.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Nikki will face temptation. When Nick steps out to take a phone call, Nikki’s eyes fixate on the vodka behind the bar. She orders a glass, gulps it down and heads to the courtroom. In jail, Summer stops by to visit Victor. She’s confused and doesn’t know which side to be on.

Victor urges Summer to come back to court and hear the testimony. He thinks Summer could soon gain a new perspective. Victor also warns Summer to steer clear of Luca. Summer leaves and goes against her father’s wishes. She finds Luca and demands the truth. Luca says he immediately told Victor about Michael and Phyllis’ plot after he overheard them talking. He felt it was the right thing to do.

Noah (Robert Adamson) and Marisa (Sofia Pernas) question Luca’s motives, but a text interrupts their conversation. Summer receives the news that court is back in session. At Crimson Lights, Adam (Justin Hartley) lets Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) know that he doesn’t have any regrets about refusing Victor’s deal. They’re both glad that Adam is free from Victor’s grip.

At the athletic club, Victoria walks in and sees Billy (Jason Thompson). He admits he knew about the plan to throw Victor’s case, but he wasn’t involved. Victoria thinks it was a reckless move. They leave for court and prepare for more drama.

The trial resumes and Victor manipulates each witness. He makes Phyllis talk about working with Ian (Ray Wise). Victor puts Jack on the stand and brings up the allegations. Jack shouts that everything is true. Victor thinks he has a lot in common with Jack. He feels that they’re similar men with similar goals.

Summer takes the stand and Victor pushes her to confess who helped Phyllis when she was in a coma. Summer says Victor brought in a doctor to save her mother. Victor pummels Abby with questions and she breaks down in tears. She’s sorry for turning on Victor. Nick is called and Victor talks about how he provided for him. He insists he always took care of his son.

Nikki is up next. Victor alludes to the fact that she used to be a stripper. He forces Nikki to admit he turned her life around. Nikki says that was the case, but now Victor has changed. He brings up Nikki’s drinking and how he stood by her. Victor notes that he smells alcohol on Nikki’s breath.

Victoria is questioned and Victor makes it seems like she just wanted control of Newman Enterprises. Once Adam takes the stand, Victor tries to show everyone that he’s just as ruthless as his father. Then, it’s time for closing arguments. Christine maintains that Victor thinks he’s above the law. She pushes for a suitable punishment.

Victor counters that he had a tough upbringing and he’s always done what he had to do. It was about survival and protecting his family. Victor tears up as he gives his final explanation for his behavior. Will Victor’s tactics work? Y&R rumors hint that the verdict is really going to shake up Genoa City.
