Well, first of all we have to wonder why Michael did such a transparently bad job at trial so that it was obvious he was not trying his best. Second, we have to wonder why Michael and wife Lauren Baldwin [Tracey E Bregman] were talking about their illicit plans within earshot of others at the GCAC.
Now that Luca Santori [Miles Gaston Villanueva] ratted out Michael to Victor who blew Michael out of the water in court, Michael will soon face disbarment charges according to Soap Opera Digest. It’s Christine Williams’ [Lauralee Bell] duty to follow up, but Lauren will beg her to be lenient.

Y&R spoilers also indicate that Phyllis Abbott [Gina Tognoni] will also do what she can to help Michael avoid negative outcomes from his actions since he was acting on her behalf and at her request. But can either Lauren or Phyllis save Michael from his fate?
Spoilers tease that the state law board will reach out to Michael and reveal that he is under consideration for disbarment. Michael knew this was a possibility but did it anyway – but it was all under duress thanks to his wife and BFF.
Michael was once dedicated to the law but let emotions overrule his good sense and commitment to professional ethics. Lauren will encourage Michael to go on the offensive and make a statement at a press conference to try and explain his actions.
Of course, there’s nothing he can really say to justify his actions – even the worst of criminals deserve an honest defense – that’s the underpinning of the American justice system in a nutshell! Y&R spoilers hint that Michael could be officially disbarred, but is it for good – or just for a certain period?

Victor will soon be convicted after acting as his own attorney and will spend some time in jail, but we know nothing keeps The Mustache down and he won’t remain behind bars for too long. Once he’s out, we have to wonder if he’ll come gunning for Michael.
It seems like there was enough evidence to send Victor to jail without Michael ruining his legal career trying to tip the scales of justice even more in favor of Phyllis and against Victor. Is Michael done being a lawyer forever? What will he do with the rest of his life?
What do you think Y&R fans? Were Lauren and Phyllis absolutely wrong to pressure Michael to throw the case? Do you think Victor will want more revenge on Michael than just him losing his license to practice law?
