‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Max Schemes to Wreck Abby’s Marriage – Wants to Reunite Stitch and Ashley

‘The Young and The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Max Rayburn [Jared Breeze] is up to no good. We saw the kid consider pushing stepmom Abby Newman [Melissa Ordway] down some stairs so she’d miscarry but now he has a new plan – and it involves Ashley Abbott [Eileen Davidson].

Remember that Max overheard Simon Neville [Michael E Knight] and Ashley talking about her former fling with Stitch Rayburn [Sean Carrigan], Max’s dad? Max tucked that piece of information away and is now using it as part of a mischievous scheme to break up his dad’s new marriage.

Max seemed to legitimately like Neville and Ashley before he overheard the conversation, but now him spending time with his stepmom’s mother has a much more sinister undertone. What’s really messed up about this situation is that Abby may end up ruining her own marriage.

Abby already suspects the Max is a bad seed for the way he acted when she needed him to call 911 – even though he eventually did the right thing. She knows he hates her and blames her for his mother’s death and likely isn’t happy about her pregnancy.

So when Max becomes very friendly to Ashley, Abby decides he’s up to no good. She thinks Max would rather see his dad with her mother Ashley than with her. What’s most likely, though, is that Max just wants to split up Abby and Stitch – and Ashley is just the tool he thinks can do it.

That’s pretty devious for a kid… Plus, Ashley seems clueless that Max is playing her. She feels sorry for the kid and thinks he’s sweet. But we have to remember that Ashley is also heavily medicated and has a brain tumor, so she may not be quite on her game.

Abby tries to talk to her mom, but gets nowhere. So how will it go if Abby goes to her hubby Stitch and says she thinks Max is scheming to replace her with her mother? It sounds outrageous and Stitch may think it’s her pregnancy hormones talking.

Worst case, Stitch may think Abby is trying to get rid of his son. She already expressed concern to him about Max being a problem child. Will Stitch think Abby is being paranoid or, worse yet, actively trying to estrange him from his kid?

Stitch won’t like that at all. Max is his son, his flesh and blood, and he doesn’t want to hear anything bad about the kid. He knows Max is distraught that he lost his mom suddenly and is now saddled with a new stepmom and baby on the way.

Will Stitch believe his wife? Will it be Max that breaks up Abby and Stitch – or will it be Abby herself for pushing too hard about Max? Can their marriage survive this trial and Max’s scheme?
