‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Mal Young Dishes About Big Y&R Changes – Here’s What To Look For

Y&R’s executive producer Mal Young announced what he has in store for Genoa City and all the good things that are coming our way on the soap.

Mal Young recently did an interview with Soap Opera Digest and revealed the changes fans can be looking forward to seeing. One of those changes he talks about is the wardrobe, along with the overall appearance. We use to see Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) always in a suit on the show, but not so much anymore and that’s all because he and Mal Young got together and freshened up his look.

Also, fans have you noticed how there are a lot more outdoor scenes now? That is all Mal Young’s doing and it was a fabulous idea. It’s great to see the actors in different places now.

When it comes to Y&R’s Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Mal feels like their talents are being underutilized. They are both wonderful actresses and he loves the two and wants fans to see what he does in them. So hopefully that means we will see these two wonderful ladies with some new storylines in the near future.

Mal Young also teased that there’s some really cool twists and turns coming our way and there will be upcoming storylines that will be quite unexpected. So this is very exciting news for all of us viewers. Especially, since we all can usually tell what’s going to happen way before it ever does. Maybe now the show will be less predictable. Mal Young would like for those that have tuned out and no longer watch the show to comeback and just try an episode and see the changes. The soap showrunner explained that there are a lot of new characters coming in, but they are also going to elevate a lot of the legacy characters.
