‘The Young and The Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary Discovers Ashley’s Secret Illness – Leverages for Power Play

‘The Young and The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that now that Hilary Curtis [Mishael Morgan] has her memories back, she’s returned to her scheming ways. Hilary is after power and influence and decides to start with the research project Devon Hamilton [Bryton James] is funding at the Jabot Labs.
Hilary has already tried to steal Ashley’s job by telling Devon that Ashley is under the weather. Ashley was back in time to shut that down, but Hilary’s not nearly done. Hilary is intent on marketing this project to raise her own profile in Genoa City.

She’s already claimed what a miracle the treatment was for her and has made herself the official face of the protocol that Simon Neville [Michael E Knight] is developing. But Hilary has much greater ambitions. She’s lusting for real power and this project is her jumping off point.

With her grand scheme in mind, Hilary decides they need to make Simon more presentable to the press and she wants to give him a stylish makeover in advance of a photo shoot she set up. But Simon is not the kind of guy who will set still for Hilary to fuss over his physical appearance.

Simon is much more invested in what’s in his brain than the clothes on his back and he resists Hilary’s efforts to make him fancier. Y&R spoilers indicate that Simon will struggle to get Hilary to leave him alone when Ashley swoops in and saves him from being made over into something he’s not.

This fashion fiasco results in a fracas between Ashley and Hilary that Devon has to deal with – but his decision stuns his wife. Devon sides with Ashley and Simon against the photo shoot and wardrobe makeover.

All the stress brings on one of Ashley’s “spells” so Simon scoots her out of the argument and into her office before anyone notices something’s going on. But someone did notice – Hilary. Devon encourages Hilary to stop trying to steamroll her way over Ashley and work things out amicably.

Hilary is steamed but decides to take his advice. But when Hilary finds Ashley in her office, she sees something that surprises her and gives Hilary just the ammunition she needs to leverage Ashley’s secret into a power play.

Will Hilary see Ashley getting a treatment of Dr Neville’s protocol? Whatever Hilary finds, it is proof that Ashley is hiding a serious medical condition and Hilary threatens to reveal the secret unless she gets her way.

Ashley will have to decide whether to give in to the blackmail and let Hilary push them all around – or have her loved ones find out about the grievous medical condition she’s been hiding. What do you think Ashley will decide?
