‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary Continues Scandalous GC Buzz – Chooses Career Over Her Marriage, ‘Hevon’ In Trouble?

The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) has everything she has ever wanted in her life; a husband who loves her, more money than she could count, and now she has landed the job of her dreams.  Becoming a hostess for Genoa City Buzz had made her a celebrity of sorts, and she was reveling in the attention she was getting.

Suddenly her show started to sink and everyone who worked for her had left to find new jobs.  Hilary wants to bring GC Buzz back to its former glory, but that will mean she will have to stoop to levels that her husband, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) won’t approve of.  Is Hilary willing to risk her marriage for her career?

Y&R’s Devon bought GC Buzz because he wanted to make it a truly newsworthy show, telling real stories and seeking the truth.  They didn’t want to be a gossip show, and were trying to keep everything positive, which is what is causing it to currently fail.  It has gotten so bad, that Hilary is getting bad attention from viewers.  The negative response from viewers doesn’t deter her, she just becomes more determined to succeed, and works on making it huge again.

After some research, Hilary realizes the only way to redeem the show, is to go back to the old ways of scandalous gossip.  Of course this is not what Devon wants, but Hilary explains that she wants to tell the good side of stories but they have to be more entertaining.  Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), is her first and most vocal critic, and calls Hilary out on her real plan.

Lily has always believed that Hilary was not a good person and she has no doubt it won’t be long before Hilary is down in the mud, gossiping about anyone and everything.  Hilary insists she is only making these changes to save GC Buzz, and she will only embellish her stories a little bit to make it more interesting than what Devon wanted.

Is Hilary right in going back to more of a gossip show than a newsworthy one, which was her and Devon’s original plan?  The storyline coming is promising to be very interesting, as fans will see Hilary and Devon on a different and more personal level.  They will bring out a marital issue that is very real, when a husband and wife work together.  Mishael Morgan admits that fans of Devon and Hilary don’t need to worry about their marriage, for now!
